At approximately noon on Monday, June 28 2021, on a ditch to the side of a road known as Los Olivos, near the Tepalcatepec-Coalcomán highway, an abandoned vehicle was found which contained the dead bodies of two women who were allegedly beheaded.
Neighbors in the area alerted the authorities to the discovery and moments later municipal police arrived at the vehicle’s location, which was in an area near the Hotel Campestre in the Chula Vista neighborhood of Tepalcatepec city (also known as Tepeque), Michoacán.
The scene was cordoned off from the public and investigators from the Coalcomán Regional Prosecutor's Office arrived at the location in order to process the evidence. The women were found inside a black Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. Preliminary review of the bodies showed evidence of gunshot wounds and injuries consistent with torture. A full autopsy will be performed as part of the investigation.
According to the official press release of the State Attorney General's Office, the women were identified as Lizbeth “C” and María Anahí “A”, aged 24 and 21, respectively.
Some media outlets such as Linea Directa Portal and Noticias en la Mira report that these two women are presumed be the same women who were kidnapped alongside 6 others on Sunday, June 27 2021. Their group was allegedly kidnapped from inside a bar by a group of armed men operating in Tepalcatepec. Differing from this version, Quadratin details that social media users report that both women left aboard a van heading to a party to which they never arrived.
Noticias en la Mira reports the aggressors in the Sunday kidnapping have been initially attributed as belonging to a Carteles Unidos group led by Juan José Farías “El Abuelo”.
However, this presumed connection has not been confirmed by the authorities as of the writing of this story.

ReplyDeleteThose womens are young and pretty, but their life ended so soon. Being women in Mexico is a curse, in fact living in MX itself is a hell. Sad to hear about this tragedy. Looks like sex trafficking or sex slavery, maybe they refused to abide at which point they maybe killed. Just a small doubt, wouldn't these women's think twice before entering a van ?

DeleteDude I'm already living in a Muslim nation, I know well how cruel they are. I'm not a muslim but I know many non muslim women's loving and marrying muslim guys and suffering tortures. Even my neighbour lady loved and married a muslim guy bu eloping from home. She returned back to her home 3 years later with a baby and body full of scars. Her dad was devastated to see her in that way. She filed divorce and she was repeatedly raped by her husband's brothers with knowledge of her husband and tortured her physically coz she is not muslim.

I am going to assume that the word "torture" means cocaine or meth induced rape session. The Mexican press seem to roll everything into the word "torture".
ReplyDeleteTo me, because of this, justice is not being completely served to the victims, because the public needs to know exactly what happened to these ladies. If they were raped, sodomized or whatever, then say so.
It seems like another way to blur the truth. It would be nice to just get the truth. 100%. No matter how much it hurts to hear or attempt to grasp.

DeleteFurthermore, withholding details of if there was sexual assault from the public at this stage in an investigation is not unique to Mexico or "the Mexican press". In the US they would not disclose that level of detail at this stage either.
In the US, those details are often withheld by investigators because it helps ensure they can successfully prosecute and convict the perpetrator. If a suspect makes a confession that contains withheld details, it is easy to prove in court they had first hand knowledge of the crime and were present at the crime scene.

@7:57- I cannot. Now it is even easier to get a gun here in Iowa. No permit needed any more from the Sheriff. The dealers have the responsibility of doing back ground checks, now. Just like they always have for long guns. No permit needed to conceal and carry.
