Ciudad Juárez Officers Who Attacked Chihuahua Police Chief 3 Weeks Ago Remain Unidentified

"Morogris" for Borderland Beat

Regional Director of the State Public Security Secretariat, Ricardo Realivázquez Domínguez, was traveling in an armored Tahoe when when he was attacked by municipal police.
More than three weeks have passed since the Regional Director of the State Public Security Secretariat, Ricardo Realivázquez Domínguez, was attacked by Ciudad Juarez municipal police officers (allegedly by mistake) during a criminal operation.

The incident occurred on Monday, 14 June 2021, when several gang members carried out a series of coordinated attacks against local authorities in Ciudad Juarez. At least four cartel members and three police officers were killed. Two policewomen were also wounded in the attacks.

When searching for more cartel members in the streets of Ciudad Juarez, municipal police officers opened fire on the armored blue Tahoe truck of Realivazquez Dominguez. The attack was reported at 23:04 local time.

From inside the truck, the police chief informed them via radio frequency that he was inside the vehicle with his bodyguards. However, the police officers shot at the vehicle several times. He survived the attack without injuries, and confirmed that authorities would investigate this particular incident to determine if it was a confusion or a direct attack against him.

Jorge Nava López, head of the investigating unit, reported that the investigation is ongoing and that the Ciudad Juarez Municipal Police has agreed to pay for the damages. However, none of the triggermen have been identified and state authorities believe there is a cover-up happening inside the police.

The attack is currently being investigated as an attempted homicide since there could have been fatal consequences and because the municipal policemen opened fire without being attacked.

Investigators say that the 14 June attacks were carried out by Los Mexicles, a gang in Ciudad Juarez that used to work for the Sinaloa Cartel but that is now working for La Linea. Many of the murders committed in the months of May and June were carried out by Los Mexicles. Some sources say there was an internal strife between two of his major cells.

  3. State police cops formed La Linea many years ago. But I guess there are various police factions, street gangs, and conflicting interests now and things can get confusing... either this state chief was doing a good job and ppl wanted to take him out, or he was just working for another cartel and they wanted him dead. Crazy life in Juaritos.

    3. So far I think the following, in no particular order of importance:

      - La Linea
      - Gente Nueva
      - La Empresa
      - Los Mexicles
      - Artistas Asesinos
      - Los Aztecas
      - CJNG
      - Los X / Cartel X

    4. MX you should do an article on ciudad juarez and current status it almost looks as bad as Tamaulipas due to all the infighting

    5. Infighting is exactly what the U.S. DEA and CIA wanted for Juarez. They captured 90 percent or more of the leaders from the Juarez cartel and all the truces between gangs and La Linea fell apart leaving everyone fighting against each other. Divide and conquer.
The U.S. claims that with infighting less drugs will cross the border but we all know this is the biggest lie to ever be told as far as the war on drugs is concerned.

    9. 3:46 - Los X is an interesting one because from I’ve gathered, they have business ties with both La Linea and Gente Nueva. But I think their partnership is just a marriage of convenience (i.e. paying “piso” to move contraband in their turf.

There’s someone in Los X with some serious ties with drug suppliers south of Mexico. Not sure who it may be. But I was surprise to learn that Los X had that much of a reach (Tamaulipas to Chihuahua) being a relatively unknown cartel for most of the media.

CJNG reportedly started by supplying guns to La Linea / Los Aztecas. Now you’ll find CJNG dealers in Ciudad Juárez. They’ve arrested a few in recent months. I wonder how Sinaloa will react to that.

  6. Lopez obrador doesn't have the guts like Calderon did to send in the army to go after them and protect the people he's probably on the CJNG payroll what a coincidence that only CDS people are being extradited to the US what about 40 and his brother?

    1. Guts? It doesn’t take guts to send the army (a bunch or poor guys he doesn’t even know) to go kill bad guys. Don’t give him the credit the military deserves. Obrador just doesn’t want to re-attempt a strategy that resulted in FAILURE.

  7. If the killers have not been identified means that most likely they are dead already. Either that or they are being tortured till this very day.
Sucks that cops that claim to be honest would do this to people that just like them also want to make a living with drugs.
But Cops and specially those aligned with cartels think they are far superior to anyone specially prison gangs and their members.
    Bunch of dumbfucks!
