"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
Together with the victims there were organized crime messages. The first reports were made at 2:40 a.m. But the Municipal, Metropolitan nor State authorities wanted to approach the area as reports indicated that there were about 6 vehicles with heavily armed people at the crime scene. According to citizens a call to 911 indicated that the National Guard would come, they also didn't want to go near the scene.
It was until after 5 am that the first patrol with their overhead lights turned off came and reviewed the area. To make sure that there were no narco traffickers or hitmen around in order to implement an operation. But by then dozens of citizens had already taken photos and videos as well as reports.
Two bodies were located hanging on a road bridge at the entrance of the road that leads from Fresnillo to the Zacatecas capital. They were hung by their necks in sight of motorists and transportation carriers who watched the gruesome scene in awe.
A night watchman of a neighboring company said it was approximately 2:40 am this Monday morning when he noticed the bodies. And it wasn't until five that the first patrol arrived.
After 7, victims were still hanging, although there was already a large security detail near the Zacatecas Institute of Technology. The bodies were those of two men who were half-naked and beaten.
Alongside the victims, a large canvas containing an allusive message to organized crime was removed from the bodies. As the minutes passed and the morning cleared the corpses could be seen more clearly, while traffic circulation was diverted both ways.
Traffic was in full swing before 8 a.m. There was already a line of vehicles formed going towards the Zacatecan capital. Staff at the Zacatecano Institute for Forensic Sciences, took charge of removing the bodies. They were taken to the morgue as being unidentified for the time being.
Just days prior at the Heavy Transit Library near the Arroyo de Las Sirenas roadway, the bodies of the two State Policemen originally from San Luis Potos铆 were also hung.
I hope those guys are OK!
ReplyDeleteThey should be fine. Just give 'em a couple days rest, will be as good as new. You gotta think positive!

That person is pretty annoying. I thought the same thing many times because that individual in my opinion implies that the articles being shown here are not to his specifications. I know is good to ignore things not worth the headaches. But still. Kinda gets to a few of us.

What's AMLO going to do if cops themselves have no fortitude? Even the National Guard...LMAO
ReplyDeleteWhy would AMLO have any Jurisdiction over cops? Wouldn't that be a municipal or state issue. Mexico is a large place, imagine if AMLO had to give orders to municipal police in all 36 states. Do you know how many cities have their own police departments in one state! Now consider 36! Lol. And you want AMLO to be in charge of all?! If anyone is to blame here it should be mayors and Governors before you get to the president.
DeleteRespect to all Borderlandbeat writers, researchers!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or hanging is becoming the new IT thing. Lately I've been seeing a lot more articles on it than before.

DeleteNo seas payaso bro.
A norm unfortunately for Zacatecas is unfolding. Like many states in Mexico where money is what is driving such violence. Along with political alliances.

ReplyDeleteFreaking crazy

Mexico where cops Stand down to let criminals kill and hang a few guys
I have friends from Zacatecas that fled their because of all this violence and from what they are saying, because I know they have criminal world friends their , is that a new governor got elected and he is with cjng so is letting them move inn and clean up plaza. Zacatecas was made up of maaaany groups including individual traffickers but now is chaotic since every 1 trying to keep their power smh.
ReplyDeleteProbably from jerez, villanueva, valparaiso area thats where alot come from to the states.
DeleteIt was better in 2007 and back when individual local traffickers made their cash and had no need for all these sicarios running around killing people.
I just thought of something, The cjng sicarios that were massacred in the limits of jalisco and Zacatecas over a week ago were probably being sent to jerez, fresnillo as reinforcements or maybe even into durango for another attack since its nearby also. Cds figured out the routes they would use to get into Zacatecas.
