"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
An impressive operation was deployed due to the discovery of a "mini submarine", in the community of Barra de Tecoanapa in the municipality of Marquelia.
Just before noon UPOEG police towed from the sea to the inlet area of the Quetzala River the "submarine" made of fiberglass, which had been seen by the locals for several days.
Once the authorities were notified, State Police arrived, followed by the National Guard, the Army and finally the Secretariat of the Navy, with a helicopter flying over the area.
The man made submersible measures just over 10 meters long and is one meter in width. Gasoline was located inside the underwater craft.
I wonder how many roam around at sea.
