"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
A picture has been released onto social media of the deceased Édgar Valladares Hernández, alias "El Maestrín". Reports have surfaced that he was brutally tortured before being executed by his own gunmen.
Édgar Valladares was considered one of the principal perpetrators behind the senseless attacks against unarmed civilians in Reynosa.
An apprehended gunman following an intense police operation in search of the culprits revealed for the authorities the reasoning behind the attack back in June of this year.

CDN is serious about expansion and are going hard but they have zero chance of taking Reynosa or Fronteria Chicca. This truce is more about the realization of what's coming, that it's inevitable, and how they are completely surrounded and slowly being choked off. Within 12-16 months Tamps will be a war zone, ground zero, the likes which have never been seen. Menchos ultimate goal is Tamps. If u notice they have essentially given TJ back to CDS. Mencho has had his eye set on the opposite coast. He is deadset on recreating on a grander scale the Los Valencia pipeline which they pioneered from Mich to Tamps and later Jalisco to Tamps. Mencho knows how important Tamps is and will stop at nothing but he's in for a long ugly struggle from not just CDG but all the old school narco money in Moro's and the RGV. In my opinion this slow expansion eastward has been in the works for at least 10 years and CJNG rapid rise has much more to do w Abigail as I strongly believe he's the real shot caller.
