"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
A new video from the Mexican underworld has just surfaced online. For this broadcast a small cell of hitmen are positioned in what’s known as a sequential occupation. This occurs when fire teams occupy multiple positions in sequence across a contested terrain.
In addition to this the masked enforcers believed to be operatives for the United Cartels send out a challenge against “El Maguey” on film.
Santiago Quintero Magallón, El Maguey, is head of the plaza in the municipal seat of Buenavista. He is also the lawless leader who runs the Cinco del Pueblo, armed wing of the Cartel Jalisco.

Sicario: What’s going on Maguey? Come on out to the confrontation. I thought you said you were going to defend Buenavista? Well, we’re all here. Very close to you. And I just don’t see you anywhere. Are you running away from us in your sneakers or what?
