The former Nayarit state official also reportedly pointed out the relations of former General Salvador Cienfuegos with that criminal organization
The Brooklyn Court accumulates dozens of unpublished documents that point to Nayarit's former prosecutor, Edgar Veytia, as a narco snitch.
The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Federal Bureau Agency (FBI) maintain that Veytia incriminated several Mexican officials and former officials for having links with organized crime.
Edgar Veytia, who was sentenced by a New York Court to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking, reportedly pointed out to the current governor of Sinaloa, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, of having meetings with the deceased drug trafficker, Juan Francisco Patrón Sánchez, alias El H-2. The former prosecutor's accusations also included General Salvador Cienfuegos, of whom he said he was protector of El H-2.
The testimony of the former official warns that Patrón Sánchez, killed in 2017, operated in favor of Ordaz Coppel's campaign when he was a candidate for the governorship of Sinaloa.
Veytia warned that the links that Patrón Sánchez achieved with the Mexican authorities originated in Sinaloa, when Luis Ángel Fuentes Álvarez, Ordaz Coppel's father-in-law, was a Major General.
According to reports, Salvador Cienfuegos was secretary of Fuentes Álvarez. Cienfuegos allegedly protected El H-2, in turn the Beltrán Leyva cartel was one of the least persecuted by the armed forces, in the six-year term of Enrique Peña Nieto (2012-2018).
Former Secretary of National Defense, Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda, was accused in the United States of cooperating with El H-2, who was identified as an operator of the Beltrán Leyva clan. On October 15 of last year, he was arrested at the Los Angeles airport, USA, but in mid-November, in a historic event, the general returned to Mexico to be investigated in the country.
In January of this year, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) reported that after analyzing the case it was concluded that Cienfuegos never had meetings with any member of organized crime.
Juan Patrón Sánchez would have carried out his criminal activity without interference (from 2015 to 2017) from the army due to the bribes he would have paid to Cienfuegos Zepeda. This man headed a Beltrán Leyva cell with a presence in Jalisco, Sinaloa and Nayarit. It was in the latter state, where elements of the Army killed this criminal leader.
The H-2 cartel had among its most infamous purposes to end Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho and his criminal organization, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
Veytia also involved Admiral Marco Antonio Ortega Siu, who was Head of the Special Forces Unit of the Secretary of the Navy and who has among his achievements was having participated in the recapture of Joaquín el Chapo Guzmán.
I don't believe him. All politicians are honest
