"If He Doesn't Fall Into Formation, Kill Him"

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

The former prosecutor currently detained in the United States said that the official who has also been linked to El Mencho, gave the order to kill the leader of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel

If he doesn't fall into formation, kill him," former Mexican governor gave the order to kill H2, according to the Devil

Roberto Sandoval, governor of the state of Nayarit from 2011 to 2017, ordered in February 2017 the killing of drug trafficker Juan Francisco Patrón Sánchez, alias El H2, and was reportedly recorded by his Attorney General Edgar Veytia aka the Devil, when he authorized the operation.

According to Veytia, Sandoval collaborated with several drug cartels that were disputed by the State during his term, authorized meetings of his Attorney General with the leaders to avoid violence against civilians and had at least one personal meeting with drug lord Héctor Beltrán Leyva.

In addition, the former governor of Veracruz, Javier Duarte, who is serving a 9-year prison sentence for money laundering, supported Sandoval's 2011 electoral campaign with cash.

The above and more Veytia declared to U.S. agents and prosecutors, after his arrest in March 2017.

Before the operation against H2, Veytia met with Sandoval and, without his knowledge, recorded the conversation with his iPhone. In that talk, which began at 5:45 p.m., the governor authorized the killing of El H2, for having

unleashed a wave of murders in the small towns of Nayarit.

On March 14, 2018, by testifying in Brooklyn, Veytia gave prosecutors and agents access to the recording. In the document of the declaration, several notes were recorded on it:

"Sandoval says he's fed up. That he already had enough. Veytia says he can't control it. Sandoval says if he doesn't fall into formation, kill him. Sandoval instructs Veytia: if H2 dies, Veytia has to negotiate with the next person in line, to assure him that they would be against them. Tell people to be quiet, not to move things. If you're going to do it, do it, kill him. And whoever enters, tell him that it’s his territory to control."

The statements contain excerpts from different episodes of Sandoval's six-year term, who since last June has been prosecuted in Nayarit for money laundering, embezzlement and electoral crimes, and are transcribed verbatim:

Roberto Sandoval communicated with Héctor Beltrán through Pedro Asis (sic). H2 told Veytia that Beltrán paid Sandoval in Monterrey, in dollars. H2 said: my daddy took care of your dad."

"Veytia and Sandoval's private secretary traveled by plane to collect money from the Governor of Veracruz for Sandoval's campaign. That Governor (Javier Duarte) is imprisoned in Guatemala."

"In 2013 things began to get out of control, and Veytia began to communicate directly with the narcos. As of 2013, the cartels paid Veytia 1.5 to 2 million pesos per month, which Veytia had to use to pay judges and police, on behalf of the H2 organization, in exchange for operating without being arrested."

"There were six judges in Nayarit, each one received 30,000 pesos and they had a deal for two years. The judges went personally to Veytia's office to receive the payments. The director of the Police paid the commanders of the southern and northern areas of the state. Veytia never kept records of payments."

Roberto Sandoval is currently detained and has also been associated with Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes alias El Mencho, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

  1. Ok so the average exchange rate of Dollars to pesos in 2013 was around 12. So judges were getting about 2500 dollars a month. Really doesn't seem that much to me, I mean I know public officials don't make that much in Mex, but to sell your soul for an extra 30 grand a yr? I guess you get to stay alive- plata o plomo. To own a whole state for about 150,000 a month and operate with impunity, man these dudes where making bank. My people's are from Nayarit and the killings only started when los Jalisca's began to arrive h2 was just trying to protect his territory that he paid for. Sandoval killed him cause he sold out to mencho not because h2 was some blood thirsty bastard killing innocent people

  3. This case illustrates yet again that the top dogs in crime in Mexico are not the cartels. The true masters are the ministers, governors and generals.

They control and command the DTOs and AMLO is here no exception.
