Rafael Caro Quintero's Mansions: Luxury Stained With Blood

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

Authorities secured properties of the infamous Mexican narco who is at large and accumulated millions thanks to a life dedicated to crime

One of the properties belonging to Rafael Caro Quintero

After three long months of the U.S. government ordering the confiscation of five properties belonging to the infamous Mexican drug trafficker, Rafael Caro Quintero, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) in Mexico decreed the securing of these properties located in Guadalajara, Jalisco (west of Mexico).

On June 15, the confiscation of the farms of the Prince and / or Narco of Narcos was decreed, who has become the most wanted fugitive by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). But it was not until the end of that month that military operations were carried out in the vicinity of the buildings. As described by the weekly Zeta Tijuana, these tactical operations surprised the neighbors, who didn’t suspect what it was about.

The confiscated properties are located in the ZMG

According to the documents, these addresses are in the name of relatives of Caro Quintero. One of them is owned by Héctor Rafael Caro Elenes —son of the criminal leader. It is located at Calle Paseo de los Virreyes 4238, lot 21, block 41, Villa Universitaria neighborhood, in Zapopan, Jalisco.

A property and premises located on Avenida Melchor Ocampo, Bodega 468, local 21, Mercado de Abastos Norte neighborhood; Mercado el Campesino, 59, 21 45140, in Zapopan, in the name of the kingpin's sons - Héctor Rafael, Roxana Elizabeth, Henoch Emilio and Mario Yibran -, have a right for Caro Quintero to use them and enjoy them as if they were his own.

In Sagittarius Street 5289-8 and in the Arboledas Residential neighborhood, real estate and premises were identified in the name of his daughter, Roxana Elizabeth Caro Elenes.

In addition to these properties, Roxana Elizabeth has been identified by the U.S. authorities as the name of other addresses at Calle Luigi Pirandello 5397, Lot 29B, Mza 145, Fraccionamiento Vallarta Univerisdad, Zapopan, Jalisco.

Between 1980 and 2015, the Sinaloa Cartel faction led by Caro Quintero was involved in the transport of large quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine, from Mexico to the United States.

The governments of Mexico and the United States affirm that the drug lord used the proceeds from the sale of these narcotics to buy real estate in the surroundings of the metropolitan area of Jalisco.

The criminal leader placed the properties in the name of his family members as a facade to hide his illegal profits. Also, to prevent the Mexican authorities from seizing them.

Caro Quintero is accused of several crimes in the United States, including drug trafficking and his participation in the murder of DEA special agent Enrique Kiki Camarena. In addition, he’s also on the FBI list of the "Ten most wanted criminals."

In April 2018, a formal indictment was opened in a federal court in Brooklyn that accused Caro Quintero of leading a continuous criminal enterprise and other crimes. The U.S. Department of Justice offers a reward of USD 20 million for information that leads to his capture.

  2. Looking through these findings and not familiar with the Mexican judicial process; legally these properties don't belong to the accused. Although we are well aware that such fortunes are not easy to come by.

  6. RCQ's most interesting property, in partnership with Don Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, the Rancho Camino Real in Sanchez Taboada Veracruz, used to train contras nicaragüenses apparently, but in reality an airport used to transfer cocaine, dollars, mariguana, weapons, intrigues for Felix Ismael Rodriguez Mendigutia posing at the time as a CIA agent coordinating drug trafficking to the US with USMC Lt col Oliver North, there about 30 federal judicial mexican police officers got murdered and knowing of it also got Manuel Buendia, DEA's Kiki Camarena and Alfredo Zavala Avelar their demise, some after getting kidnapped and tortured for days...
RCQ has never been an angel, but his american handlers that cooked the whole shebangs with mexican counterparts DFS and federal cuicos who are much worse do not even rate getting named, WHY?
