Valparaiso, Zacatecas: Three Policemen Die After Armed Attack

The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) confirms that on Tuesday, after an attack registered in the municipality of Valparaíso, three elements of the State Preventive Police lost their lives and one more was injured.

According to preliminary information, PEP police officers, who were carrying out their own security tasks in the Boquilla del Refugio community, in the municipality referred to, were ambushed by armed individuals; after this aggression, the three troops lost their lives, while one more was injured.

So far, no more information is available, since the proceedings and investigative actions continue on the scene.

The Secretariat of Public Security appreciates the solidarity and support of the Secretariat of National Defense and the National Guard, in the face of these cowardly facts that are condemned and reiterates that it will spare no effort in the search for those responsible for this cowardly aggression.
