"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
A subject identified as Chepe Sierra 2, one of the leaders of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) had a funeral and was buried after being allegedly killed during a confrontation in the state of Michoacán in Mexico.
His funeral procession consisted of band music, surrounded by dozens of people and with gunfire in the air in a cemetery in the region where he operated before he died.
According to information circulating on social networks, Chepe Sierra 2 led a faction known as Pájaros Sierra, in addition to being one of the first bodyguards of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho, el Señor de los Gallos or el Gallero, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
So far, Mexican authorities have not confirmed or denied the death or identity of Chepe Sierra 2, but videos of how his last goodbye was held in which armed men dressed in uniforms with the acronym of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel participated.
Even with a drone they recorded the funeral procession of the subject who was allegedly one of the closest men to Mencho.
Although there is not much information about the subject, there is even a narco-ballad dedicated to Chepe Sierra 2, which talks about how he introduced himself to the world of drug trafficking, a topic entitled, "El Sierra 2", which is interpreted by a group known as La Potencia de Sanjo.
