An armed attack in Zacatecas occurred that left four people dead. It happened when an armed criminal cell arrived at the Bardo’s pizzeria, located on Del Magnesio street in the municipality of Fresnillo, and executed four employees, the events occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, October 28, around 3:00 p.m.
The victims of the multihomicide were identified as two men and two women. According to preliminary reports, three died at the scene of the shooting and another, seriously injured, was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
Faced with the events, dozens of students from the José Revueltas elementary school were sheltered in place due to their proximity to the scene of the massacre. The pizzeria was cordoned off by agents of the Municipal Police, who argued with relatives of the victims who were trying to enter the crime scene.
Since the beginning of the year, violence has intensified in Fresnillo, the municipality where its inhabitants feel most insecure to live. This, according to the local authorities, is the product of the dispute between different organized crime groups, mainly the Sinaloa Cartel and Jalisco Nueva Generación.
Official figures establish that up to September of this year 840 people were murdered.
The recent National Urban Public Safety Survey (ENSU) recorded that with almost 250,000 inhabitants, the municipality of Fresnillo once again positioned itself at the top of the list of the six most unsafe cities in the country.
94.3% of the residents of this city considered that living in the region is not safe above other hot spots such as Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, with 92.5% perception of insecurity; Irapuato, Guanajuato, with 91.7%; Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, with 89%; Naucalpan, State of Mexico, with 88.3% and Zacatecas, Zacatecas, with 86.1%.
Impunity and corruption are keys to the violence that is experienced in these cities. In addition, their geographical position, which has made them an object of desire for the most powerful cartels in the country, the Sinaloa Cartel and Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG).
Considered the bloodiest criminal organizations in the country, their networks have expanded in search of control of distribution routes to the US. It is there where Zacatecas, Sonora and Guanajuato play a crucial role.
I KNOW most of this - the bloodshed, the absurdly enriched and powerful DTO's, etc - directly or indirectly gets at least for the main part is being caused by the crazy 'war on drugs' but all the same, it is just sickening, this violent type of act. These perpetrator drug organisation or overall crime gang crews & members obviously can't stand taking coke let alone meth from own supply either (suppose without balanced diet and enough sleep but WITH all the tension of such a existence), they keep committing these horrendous acts that most of the times are either absolutely uncalled for or endlessly exaggerated and with the majority of victims being bystanders or helpless. Christ, this WOULD call for a straight, strong and incorruptible strong arm of the law!

DeleteSir MEXICO keeps going downhill in homicides. All the while Obradors government does minimal, cartels easily killing Innocents. Some are poor as it is, and cjng running people bout of their own homes. There's a ton of hotspots, and again the government is doing minimal.
