CJNG and United Cartels clashes prevail in Michoacán; Network users posted videos of the dispute in Tepalcatepec
Several videos of the confrontations that took place yesterday between the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the United Cartels circulated on social networks.
Users of social networks published at least three videos in which they become aware of the clashes that occurred yesterday in Tepalcatepec, where they denounce that as a result of insecurity, there are hundreds of displaced people.
They also point out that the clashes were not only carried out with heavy-caliber rifles, but also attacks with drones and "bombs" were reported.
Through social networks the legend “TEPALCATEPEC !!! Between bullets, drones, bombs, live the inhabitants of this town, before the total abandonment of the authorities who only go to take their photos and immediately leave the place, hundreds of displaced people have left this war between armed civilians for the control of the town . God bless you ”(sic), along with the videos.
Just a day before, the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, assured that the armed forces had managed to withdraw the CJNG, to the limits of Michoacán with the State of Jalisco.
Likewise, during the presentation of the Support Plan for Michoacán, it was announced that there would be the presence of 17 thousand troops from the various security corporations and the construction of 40 barracks to protect the 12 coordination offices into which the entity's territory was divided. .
Similarly, it was pointed out that, due to the presence of organized crime and the constant confrontations between the CJNG and the United Cartels, the protection of the municipalities of Aguililla, Coalcomán and Tepalcatepec would be a priority for the state and federal authorities.

Many of us, myself included, have either been OR have friends/family that have been hurt by cartel activity or personally assaulted by members. It is remarkable that Tepalcatepec hasn't been conquered yet. This may depend of various reasons, but we can say that they (whoever they are) are holding the line and fighting. I really hope that sooner or later peace will reign in Terra Caliente, because it is a beautiful region with friendly and welcoming people.
