"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
Two corpses in plastic bags and wrapped with tan tape were found just a few meters from the city hall of Contepec; it is believed that this fact is related to the fight between criminal groups.
It was during the morning of yesterday, Friday, shortly before 7:00 a.m., that the presence of two suspicious packages was reported to the authorities on the esplanade that is next to the Municipal Presidency, near Corregidora Street.
Upon arrival, the agents discovered that it was a double homicide, for which they proceeded to cordon off the area awaiting elements of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) to carry out the corresponding investigations.
It was learned that the victims showed signs of violence, which is why it is believed that the crime could be a settling of accounts or a fight between criminal cells; so far the deceased remain unknown.

I would think that municipal buildings like City Hall would have some sort of police presence no?
