Miacatlán, Morelos: Armed Attack Between Police And El Señorón Gunmen

Regarding an armed confrontation recorded on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 23, in the municipality of Miacatlán, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Morelos informs. 


At approximately 12:05 pm, when staff of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the Morelos Prosecutor's Office, were carrying out actions related to the investigation in the western part of the state.

When driving on the Alpuyeca-Grutas highway, a dark vehicle drove up alongside the unit and accelerated to pass them, at which point the agents realize that the occupants of the vehicle were carrying firearms, they signaled for them to stop and after refusing to do so, a chase begins.

The driver of the vehicle tried to make a quick exit maneuver to leave the Alpuyeca-Grutas road near the Miacatlán-Mazatepec section. And on the corner of Ricardo Flores Magón street, in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, in the Miacatlán municipality while trying to pass a Ford he loses control of the vehicle and crashes into a tree and a building. 

Right away the occupants of the vehicle descended carrying long and short firearms, which they fired against the investigating agents of the State Prosecutor's Office, who repel the armed aggression.

As a result of the above, the driver of the vehicle lost his life during the exchange of fire and at the moment his identity unknown. In the confrontation three more people were injured, who were taken by paramedics to a hospital center for medical attention. The injured are a 17-year-old female, Alexander "N" 18 years old and Emanuel "N" 24 years old.

Criminal Investigation agents and personnel of the General Coordination of Expert Services, secured at the crime scene two AK-47 firearms known as goat horns and a .223 long caliber weapon. Along with two 9mm handguns, as well as headgear with the identification of the group led by XL or El Señorón.

Inside the Volkswagen Cross vehicle, with license plate HBH-156-E from the State of Guerrero, a total of 172 doses of narcotics were located in small black bags with the logo of a male in suit and tie. 

Also, when consulting the national databases, it was established that said Vehicle has a theft report dated November 19 in the metropolitan area of the entity, and the license plates were stolen.

Staff of the State Public Security Commission (CES) and municipal corporations went to the scene, carrying out perimeter security actions for expert work in the area.
