Elements of the Puebla State Investigation Agency arrested Ricardo N., alias “El Callo,” the alleged leader of the gang of fuel thieves behind the October 31 explosion in San Pablo Xochimehuacán.

According to sources within the State Attorney General's Office, Ricardo N. alias “El Callo” used the state of Quintana Roo to hide but he was located days ago specifically in Cancun, where a collaboration letter was issued with the Attorney General's Office of that state for the ministerial agents to secure his detainment on this day.

As PÁGINA NEGRA reported, the residents of San Pablo Xochimehuacan identified "El Callo" as one of the alleged perpetrators of the explosion that occurred at dawn on Sunday, October 31, in a clandestine L.P. gas outlet.

The alleged fuel thief, Ricardo "El Callo", approximately 36 years old, is already being extradited to the capital of Puebla and it’s a matter of hours before the State Attorney General's Office and the government of Puebla confirm his apprehension.

This digital newspaper reported that "El Callo" has been identified by neighbors who lived near the place of the explosion, they also pointed out that he was responsible for intimidating the neighbors to prevent them from denouncing the clandestine fuel theft.

Unofficial accounts state that "El Callo" even has a direct relationship with the assistant mayor, Paulo César Juárez González alias "El Fantasma."

"El Callo" is the leader of the gang of fuel thieves responsible for the Xochimehuacan explosion, where one person died during the incident and four more from burns. More than 2,500 residents of the auxiliary board and northern Puebla were evacuated. There was structural damage in more than 60 houses that were demolished.
