Three men were arrested when they were transporting more than three tons of cocaine in a boat, in Navolato.
The Attorney General's Office reported that through the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO), it obtained from a Control Judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center in Sinaloa based in Culiacán, the link to the process against Juan "E", José "B" and Jesús "M" for the crime of against health in the modality of transporting narcotics.
The three people were detained on the high seas by elements of the Secretariat of the Navy - Navy of Mexico, off the coast of the municipality of Navolato.
The agents were carrying out patrol tasks when they observed a boat that was detained, in which they located 100 packages containing 2,995 packages whose content turned out to be cocaine hydrochloride weighing just over three tons; Two drums of gasoline were also seized.
Subsequently, in continuation of the initial hearing, the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), presented evidence to the Control Judge who linked them to the process, and also imposed informal preventive detention as a precautionary measure; They were held in the “El Castillo” Penitentiary Center in Mazatlán, Sinaloa and two months were set for the complementary investigation.
