"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
Elements of the State Preventive Police (PEP) located and destroyed a surveillance camp that was used by a criminal group, in the municipality of Jerez.
This was possible thanks to the actions led by the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) aimed at rebuilding the social fabric, providing safe conditions and certainty to families, as well as strengthening the tranquility of Zacatecans.
Elements of the PEP carried out surveillance tours in the communities of Jerez, specifically in Guadalupe Victoria, where they detected that, between a dirt road, there was a site that, due to its characteristics and findings, corresponded to a camp arranged as a surveillance point for members of a criminal group.
This place was found deserted, before the arrival of the police elements, the subjects who inhabited it escaped. There, food, kitchen utensils, clothes and various items were located, which were destroyed to prevent their reuse.
