"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
Authorities discovered a manta or narco message this morning left behind by the Cartel del Noreste. The tarp was located at the baseball park of Colonia Mexico. This particular neighborhood is located in the city’s northwestern region.
For many criminal groups within the Mexican Republic mantas are the favored medium of communication against rivals. The opposing force that this message was specifically directed at are the Cartel del Golfo.
Narco message reads as follows:
Keep sending more of these piece of shit Golfos towards us. Come on out and face the bull you fucking cowards. Stop involving yourselves with the Chapitos from San Pedro. Otherwise we will go out there for everyone of you guys. Sincerely, CDN
