Moy' Is Set To Be Sentenced To Criminal Proceedings For Several Offenses

A District Judge Specialized in the Accusatory Criminal System in the state of Jalisco, based in Puente Grande, sentenced Moises G, a member of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation (CJNG) arrested in Puerto Vallarta after a confrontation with members of the National Guard on April 22 in the Marina Vallarta, to criminal proceedings.

The Jalisco Delegation of the Attorney General's Office informed that Moises G, alias "Moy", will be prosecuted for his probable responsibility in the commission of crimes against health, possession of firearms for the exclusive use of the Army, Navy and Air Force, and operations with resources of illicit origin.

"Moy" was the brother-in-law of Saul Alejandro, "El Chopa", who died while receiving medical attention in a Social Security hospital after being wounded when he clashed with National Guard members in Puerto Vallarta. At the time of the arrest, the soldiers seized five handguns, two rifles, 123 cartridges, eight magazines, as well as 3,40 thousand dollars and 6.2 kilograms of methamphetamine.

In the initial hearing, the agent of the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF), assigned to the FEMDO, presented the evidence to the Federal Judge, who ordered the indictment of Moises "G" for the aforementioned crimes.

The judge also set a term of four months for the complementary investigation as a precautionary measure, and ordered him to remain in custody at the CERESO Varonil de Puente Grande, Jalisco. The FGR investigations indicate that "Moy"was a generator of violence in the port along with his brother-in-law "El Chopa", who controlled the Puerto Vallarta Plaza for the CJNG.
