Of relevance for Zacatecas security matters, today the capture of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) leader was reported in the region, named Óscar Javier N, nicknamed as “La Mosca”, whose influence occured in this capital and in the municipalities of Villanueva, Jerez and Tabasco.
The arrest was carried out by means of an operation in the Villa Verde subdivision of the city of Zacatecas. Which, by the way, three months ago also caught the attention when a security house was found where Valeria's body was located, who had been kidnapped together with four other students, all killed.
The authorities did not say if the detainee would have any involvement with that tragic episode, for which there were other detainees, at the time.
The Ministry of Citizen Security and Protection announced the arrest of the dangerous subject, through a search at an address of the mentioned subdivision. There, they also located weapons, drugs and cash.
National and state anti -kidnapping coordinations participated in this operation, as well as the Intelligence Center.
