Elements of the Secretary of the Navy stole uniforms from that unit to later resell them to organized crime groups, acknowledged the head of the unit, José Rafael Ojeda Durán.

During the press conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in Oaxaca, Ojeda Durán pointed out that the elements involved were discharged since "putting them in jail is very difficult for legal reasons," without giving details about the number of stolen uniforms.

"Within our institution, we have detected elements that are taken from our lockers, especially uniforms, and sold to organized crime, but our counterintelligence has detected them, and we have removed them," he said.

“If they want to commit a crime, they should do it outside, but not inside”, José Rafael Ojeda Durán.

For his part, the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), Luis Cresencio Sandoval, on the acquisition of tactical equipment by organized crime groups through digital platforms, said that the cells that most resorts to using this equipment are in Sinaloa. , Tamaulipas, Michoacan and Jalisco.

The head of Sedena explained that the tactical equipment acquired by drug traffickers is of poor quality and described various accessories, such as the bulletproof vests they use, as "home made or poorly made."

"Yes, it exists, but not with the same characteristics as those of the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Navy," he said.

The Secretary of the Navy mentioned that through Naval Intelligence, they are investigating the platforms that sell tactical equipment.

  3. I thought Sedena was less Curupt than the other Military agencies, it's funny and a 3 ring circus, when they give a speech.....Duran states the person's that took and sold the equipment are discharged.....no problem 👍 they will join a cartel and make more money.Furthermore oh no problem the bulletproof vests, were of poor quality. So in other words Sedena wears poor quality vests, see what I mean 3 ring circus.

    1. Oh hey its the "furthermore" guy. Theres levels of corruption in all branches of government including the DEA, U.S Military and border patrol. But atleast they're admitting and broadcasting the news for everyone to know. Had this been any of the previous administrations there would be no way in hell any of these crimes would have came to light. As far as selling the bullet proof vest I imagine they were expired and that's why they were referred as "poor quality"

  5. There's also mention of containers of silver and gold that are "missing" in the port of Manzanillo which is currently controlled by military forces.
