"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
This was Mario. He always liked to show off on social networks carrying firearms. And in public he displayed pistols or rifles and wore tactical clothing. In conversations with friends he would always tell them “when I die”. Mario is accused by the authorities of being an extortionist, thief, drug distributor, and arms dealer.
But his delinquent days are now over. This weekend he was shot to death outside his home in the State of Mexico. He was drinking a few beers on the sidewalk. His enemies didn't even give him time to react. The last thing that went through his head was a bullet.
The Mexican Justice Prosecutor's Office is presently investigating the murder. Was this a settling of scores between gang rivals or a rearrangement of pawns from within his own group? The only thing sure is that there is one less criminal on the streets.
I would think the majority of these guys know exactly what they are getting into once they cross the line and/or after a short amount of time develope a nihilist attitude. For many , at points in our life, we have walked in front of that train willingly. Sad part is that there is ZERO excuse to take the innocent down with you.
ReplyDeleteOne more 100 peisos murder.
ReplyDeleteMario rest in Hell.
