Ascención, Chihuahua: An Armed Criminal Cell Abducts Seven Individuals

A group of armed subjects kidnapped a total of seven young citizens from the downtown area in the city of Ascension, according to the relatives of those affected, who have already filed the corresponding complaint of the events.

According to the official report of the events, one of the young people managed to escape but seven of them were taken against their will, he was able to identify those affected, as well as the number of armed men who took them away during the early hours of this Monday.

The events took place on Avenida México and Calle S. Luis within the center of the municipality of Ascension, at the Omnibus bus station. Armed subjects abducted the individuals who were about to board their bus. 

One of those affected managed to escape and identify his friends and family with the following names; Mario González, 18 years old, Eloy González, 20 years old, Aurora González, 16 years old, Samuel Ponce, 15 years old, Estela Ponce, 13 years old and Raúl Ponse, 31 years old.

Police elements went to the site to attend to the report but were unable to obtain more information about those responsible, the authorities seek to confirm the number of people who were taken by force. The motive and identity of the alleged perpetrators hasn’t been established at this time.
