"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
The bodies of four people were found floating in a river in the Municipality of El Naranjo, located in the Huasteca region of San Luis Potosí, local authorities reported.
The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) specified that the finding occurred during the night of last Wednesday near the La Balsa ranch, in this border area near the state line of Tamaulipas.
"(The first responders) saw the bodies of three men and a woman floating in the river, they requested support from the different rescue units," it was officially specified.
"The victims, were decomposing and had traces of violence. They were transferred to the Legal Medical Service (Semele) to carry out the autopsy of law, and thus find out the real cause of their death."
It was reported in the police report that the victims were found with traces of torture, their limbs were tied with wires and attached to rocks in the river area.
