Survivors Of Massacre At Children's Party In Leon, Guanajuato, Ask For Help To Bury Their Family Members

 "Ivan" for Borderland Beat

María de Lourdes, who lost several relatives including her husband, requested justice and psychological support for the children who witnessed the massacre.

Survivors of the massacre at a children's party in the Santa María de Cementos neighborhood went to Mayor Alejandra Gutiérrez to ask for financial assistance for the funerals of six murdered family members, care for eight wounded and psychological support for the children and adults who witnessed the armed attack.

María de Lourdes, who lost her husband and the father of her three youngest children, her father-in-law, her brothers-in-law and other relatives in the attack by an armed group that entered her home early Sunday morning, asked for justice to be done.

On Monday afternoon they were waiting for the bodies of the deceased to be handed over by the Prosecutor's Office for a wake in the same house where a commando took their lives, located on Costas del Mar Caspio Street, and to be buried on Wednesday.

María de Lourdes went with Laura to the Flag Honors ceremony led by the mayoress outside the Municipal Presidency to ask for help for her four-month-old daughter Ariana, who was baptized last Saturday, and for her two and five-year-old sons, who lost their father, José Antonio López Ruiz, 27, in the shooting.

"It is a shock to see all the dead, so we do need someone to guide us on how to get what we have, because we lived it, we saw it, so we do need help," she said.

She said that they went to the Presidency to make their case known to Alejandra Gutiérrez, because now they are evaluating everything that the aggression that the family experienced, with loss of life, injured people and others emotionally affected, will entail.

Armed men burst into party and kill six

Last Saturday José Salomé Ruiz Hernández, 66 years old, and his wife Maricela López, 63 years old, together with their sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, granddaughters-in-law, granddaughters-in-law, grandchildren and other relatives were celebrating the baptism of their baby, a first communion and a birthday at their home.

At the site, 14 people were shot and killed were grandfather José Salomé, Mayra Guadalupe López Ruiz, 38 years old, Cintia López Ruiz, 20 years old, Hugo Abraham Mata, 34 years old, Juan José Cordero López, 16 years old, and José Antonio.

The grandmother was wounded in one foot, a 14 year old minor is in delicate condition and another 37 year old woman has injuries from the projectiles; five men aged 20, 21, 23, 33 and 45 are hospitalized due to the shots they received, two of them are still in serious condition.

María de Lourdes and Laura, who was shot and wounded, described the moments of terror they lived through when armed individuals burst in and shot their loved ones.

  1. It is emotionally draining to keep learning of massacre of innocent children and just plain folks in Mexico. And as I write Kissy-kissy AMLO is visiting Bimbo Biden... They will talk about "what?"
    Nada! NADA!!!
What will we expect manana...more of the same?

    1. 12:45 what was municipal police, state police, national guard doing before the assault?
What have they done to prevent crime and to solve crimes?
The governor is in charge with his state commissioner of public security, he gets all the budget he needs, but steals or misuses it on propaganda and private security contractors to protect his own ass.
Worse, where is your education, did it get paid by USAID to hide?

I agree many innocent's are getting slaughtered in Mexico, as this is a prime example. The survivors are seeking help from the mayor and the government, we all know after reading countless articles, this will go to the back burner and after 4 days forgotten.
That's why I say citizens should arm themselves.

    3. @ 6:30 SIR. You sound like the typical delusional social justice warrior. Just keep vomiting up the issues without any clue towards solutions. Blah blah blah...

    6. 9:46 you sound like you don't know what reading comprehension means, I say very clearly the municipales and estatales, are in charge, the PRESIDENT FOR LIFE AMLO can't be the cuico on the scene of every crime, just like tromp, Biden or Putin who is getting his ass kicked like his mother KGB and the USSR...
You meet to smoke some good shit or at least wake up and smell the horse's ass.

No somos cubanos, venezolanos o nicaragüenses buey. Ahí está claro porque el imbécil andaba de llorón maricon en la cumbre de las Américas, el anfitrión invita al que quiere no al que un simple PEJEndejo diga.

  2. Can't blame everything on the president. The govenors are the ones that are supposed to govern their state. The federal government can't even intervine in most cases with out the state or local government inviting them or approving of it. There is someone actually incharge of public saftey and that's where responsibility is really supposed to lay. But things are so corrupt and have been for so long that taking it on is definitely going to be an uphill battle. AMLO is trying to change things especially for the long term, but it for sure isn't going to happen overnight. His one flaw that I would love to see him address is his nonconfrontation stance. If they are targeting the average mexican citizen, then go after them no holds barred head hunter style. If they try not to affect, target, or victimize the average mexican, leave them alone. The ones causing harm to the average citizen and ambushing security/public safety elements for doing their job are or should be the priority at this point. If they put up a fight, shoot to kill, surrender no longer being an option after the first offer was not taken. Sometimes lethal force is necessary and Mexico has been in that zone for awhile now

    4. 1144 only if it were that easy. You can't just accuse someone of being in collusion/ working with criminals and arrest them. You have to conduct formal investigations. There's a process "smarty pants".

    5. 2:24 where have you been. Mayor's and governors get Plata or plomo if they don't not work together with the cartels, you forgot Mexico is the number one curupt country in the world. Proof comes in the many videos Sol finds from the underground, next your going to say they are fake.

    6. 11:34 The Governors are supposed to govern , the mayors are supposed to govern. The police is supposed to police. Let's see if this family that lost a lot of lives gets the help it needs. Like a person said in here, it will be put in the back burner and forgotten. This would be good for Obrador to get involved.
One of the many working with the cartels was Cuernavaca, did he still Millions and had people killed with the cartel , what about the 43 students that disappeared the lady mayor had something to do with it working together with the criminals. They say there is no proof they were killed. To the point governor and mayor can't help they have the right to ask the president and see if he helps or ignores.

    9. 255 there you go again spreading misinformation. Mexico comes in at 31 in the world which is still pretty bad but far from number 1. You still have nations in Africa, you have Venezuela and North Korea and countries in the middle east. I get it, you dont like México but can you stop trying to kiss Sol"s nalgas while spreading false information like its your buttcheeks.

    10. but no country on earth is suffering this level of sadistic torture and brutality with the complicity of its leaders. There is bribing a traffic cop or a tax inspector and then there is a government in cahoots with sadistic murderous drug cartels committing genocide against its people. On that measure Mexico is the only country on earth to ever sink to this level of corrupt depravity except maybe Stalin in Russia but there it did not involve criminal syndicates running the country just one sadistic criminal as president

      Delete
    11. 4:39 I totally agree with you on that, but as you can see there are lovers to grampa Obrador, that will try having you believe, there's no murders in Mexico, I agree Mexico tops in homicides yearly, You disagree with them, they try to find a way to belittle you.like 9:57 acting like a Trumpster.

    12. Philippines child sexual exploitations is worse in my opinion than Mexico's drug trafficking

    13. 1041 so anytime anyone invalidates your false claims you call it "belittling" and acting like a "trumpster" . How about you provide facts. I looked it up, Mexico is not #1 in violence as you claim and only a handful of "governors and mayor's" have fallen victim to cartel violence. Really it was 1 former governor, a candidate and people running for municipal presidents. None were actually in office at the time of their deaths. You spread false information. Atleast attach a BB link to make yourself sound more credible.

  3. Hugs for narcos proves amlo is as senile as biden. Conceal and carry should be the law in Mexico. The right to defend yourself. No one else will. Rather than handing out tv's b4 elections, hand out guns.

  4. With respect to violent crimes, things are getting worse in the USA too.... It is scary to think that one day, the USA will wallow in homicidal incidents on a scale of Mexico's.
Given the ongoing tsunami of immigrants from the 3rd world....Many carrying serious PTSD injuries and incompatible values and folkways from their respective nations will experience new kinds of stressors and they will adapt and maladapt to America. Some as assets to America, but many as social problems that breed crime and violence. I base my morbid opinions on historic precedence... We never learn... humans are like that. Pray for your kids....

USA will. Never have the type of violence that Mexico endures everyday, as I write this 2 homicides already happened, some torture going on.
The good thing we have weapons to protect ourselves from serious body injury. In Mexico they don't want citizens to have guns.

      Delete
    2. It does you guys no good to have weapons if you're going to bitch up whenever kids are being slaughterd, as was the case in Uvalde. Or that time in Chicago here recently where everyone was running away from one lone gunman. What happened to all the concealed carry shooters that day? Among countless other senseless incidents. Whats even stranger is how every gun loving advocate talks a good game about their gun rights. And yet the spiral of violence continues unabated everywhere. More positive results are needed instead of pretty words spoken after every crime spree. Cause as far as talk goes any clown can pull that crap here lately.

      Delete
    3. They released more video servailance on Uvalde fiasco. Lunatics that are mentally unstable/unfit are doing the killings. The video does show more than enough police was present to save lives, the Chief of police had told them to stand by, while the kids were being slaughtered, he came up with many stories like Trump would do, to avoid blame, he was looking for the keys, the radios for contact were to heavy.

  6. Since this article came out Monday by Ivan, I been looking at articles from that town. The only thing I have heard is towns people donating, food, clothes and money. So far no governor or mayor have visited the surviving members , and a slime chance Obrador is visiting. Not even a go fund me page has been made. It is looking to be true, like someone commented ... This will go to the back burner and forgotten after a week. It costs money to bury the dead.

    2. 12:52 Mexico is going through a lot of hell. Government rarely gets involved or helps innocent people of violence, they cannot even protect their people, police don't respond fast over there when you call 911. This article is a good 👍 one follow up on.

  7. I maintain a high interest in this particular massacre because I am concerned for the survivors as well as the friends, neighbors, and countless people affected by this event. I live in the USA and I still feel terrible ( anger, depression, even grief). My feelings are a life form of PTSD. I can only imagine how much more intense the grief, terror, fear, disgust, and nightmares must be for those more directly impacted by the massacre.
If anyone knows more about this massacre please post your comments. Thank you.
