"Ivan" for Borderland Beat
The man found yesterday in the vicinity of La Primavera in Culiacan was claimed before the Forensic Medical Service and corresponded to a person from Colombia.
The body was claimed by family members who identified the deceased as Wilber N., 35 years old and of Colombian nationality, although it was not specified if he was a resident of this city or if he was passing through.
His body was found tied by hands and feet and with his face covered by a flannel during the morning of Friday, August 19, in a dirt road in the vicinity of the Casa del Lago in the exclusive subdivision south of Culiacan.
Two bullet casings from a handgun were found at the site.
