"Sol Prendido" and "HEARST" for Borderland Beat
On the morning of November 15, 2022, residents in 8 different municipalities across Guanajuato awoke to find that new banners from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) had been hung overnight.
Messages were hung in the municipalities of Leon, Salamanca, Apaseo El Alto, Apaseo El Grande, Celaya, Irapuato, Juventino Rosas, and Cortazar.
In municipalities such as Celaya and Irapuato, multiple banners were hung. In less populated municipalities, such as Apaseo El Grande and Juventino, only one banner was hung.

All of the banners had the identical message printed on them. They also utilized Grupo Elite's signature banner formatting, shown above.
We, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, disapprove of all the filth that those sons of fucking bitches from the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel are doing. They are responsible for the massacres in bars and businesses where dozens of innocent Guanajuato citizens have lost their lives.
This was all done to heat up the state. So, that the streets would be filled with soldiers and National Guardsmen. In order for the government to fight for them. Because they can't do it by themselves anymore.
Their actions are nothing more than the last desperate attempts of a drowning man in a war that they’ve already lost. You filthy faggot ass cheap fuck sons of bitches. The only thing you sons of bitches know how to do is kill innocent civilians. Regardless of whatever you guys do we’re going to remain in position here. And we won’t be leaving either fags.
Therefore, you homos need to stop involving yourselves with innocent civilians and come on out to that armed confrontation against us. You cheap fucks are real good at doing your dirt and just as quickly running away to hide behind your protectors.

Update 12/16/2022: The number of municipalities in which the banners appeared has risen.
Guanajuato's Secretary of Public Security, Alvar Cabeza de Vaca Appendini, announced that 83 banners were found in 32 out of the 46 municipalities in the state.
One of these banners was placed in front of the State Police headquarters.

1:31 Where do you get that people were saying CJNG wasn’t going to make it or last???!!! I never heard anyone saying that. As a matter of fact it was backwards. No one had ever heard of CSRL before. From what I remember everyone was saying that Marro was dumb for going to war with CJNG. That they were going to wipe them out. That small change Marro didn’t have what it takes and what was necessary to go to war with them. But alot of people were surprised a year and two years later when they were still around fighting , myself included. They still say that they’re going to wipe them out, that they’re desperate and gasping their last breath, that their kicks are of those of a drowning dead man and people have been saying it for the last year or two and there they still are and with presence in atleast two other states. I don’t know how strong or weak they are but they seem a little stronger then a few months ago.
