Two Los Zetas Cartel leaders has been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston today.
Jose Maria Guizar-Valencia, 43, of Tulare, CA, pleaded guilty on Dec. 20, 2021, to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine and conspiracy to commit money laundering and was sentenced to 480 months in federal prison on Nov. 15, 2022, by U.S. District Judge Richard A. Schell.
Francisco Hernandez-Garcia, 53, of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, also pleaded guilty on Dec. 20, 2021, to the same charges and was sentenced to 480 months in federal prison on Nov. 15, 2022, by Judge Schell.
According to information presented in court, in approximately January 2010, law enforcement authorities began an investigation into the drug trafficking activities of the Los Zetas Drug Trafficking Cartel. The investigation revealed that from 2007 to 2014, members of the cartel were involved in numerous crimes including drug trafficking, money laundering, and firearms trafficking in the Eastern District of Texas and elsewhere. Throughout the investigation, Heriberto Lazcano, a.k.a. “Z-3”, was identified as the leader of the cartel who gave final orders, to include the authorization of killings.
Although Lazcano was identified as the leader of the organization, Miguel Angel Trevino-Morales, a.k.a. “Z-40”, was seen as his equal and controlled the vast majority of the cartel soldiers. Miguel’s brother, Omar Trevino-Morales, a.k.a. “Z-42”, along with Francisco Hernandez-Garcia, a.k.a. “El 2000”, and Jose Maria Guizar-Valencia, a.k.a. “Carlitos” and “Z-43”, were identified as three of the top Los Zetas Cartel leaders. During the investigation, Guizar-Valencia was identified as one of the top leaders of the cartel who was responsible for overseeing the cartel’s drug distribution, firearms trafficking, and bulk cash smuggling.
As one the organizations leaders, Guizar-Valencia approved criminal activities conducted by members of the cartel. Under Guizar-Valencia’s leadership, the cartel arranged for the importation of cocaine from Central America to Mexico, which was subsequently distributed throughout the United States. Guizar-Valencia, operating in Guatemala, was responsible for overseeing ton-quantity shipments of cocaine from Guatemala to Mexico and coordinated the transport
ation of the cocaine from Southern Mexico to Coahuila, Mexico.
Guizar-Valencia also managed the receipt of millions of dollars in United States currency obtained from the sale of cocaine in the United States, which was used to pay for firearms purchased in the United States and for cocaine shipments coordinated out of Guatemala on behalf of the cartel.
Guizar-Valencia was identified as the principal boss of William DeJesus Torres-Solarzano, a.k.a. “Mario Ruiz Castillo,” “Comandante W,” and “Comandante William”, and he oversaw and directed the activities of Torres-Solorzano and Horst Walther Overdick-Mejia. Torres-Solorzano and Overdick-Mejia coordinated the cartel’s day-to-day cocaine trafficking operations in Guatemala. Torres-Solorzano was also identified as a high-ranking member of the cartel and a cartel leader in Guatemala.
The sentencings this week are the latest of high-level members of the Zeta Cartel. Hugo Cesar Roman Chavarria received a life sentence, William DeJesus Torres Solorzano received 480 months, and Jose Ramirez received 480 months in October of 2022.
“Amazing effort by law enforcement to bring these dangerous criminals to justice,” said U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston. “Prosecutors and law enforcement agencies conducted a very long-term investigation and coordinated with our international partners to achieve this outcome, they did an outstanding job.”
“The Zetas were known for their ruthless and violent tactics as they distributed their drugs throughout Mexico and the United States,” said Eduardo A. Chávez, Special Agent in Charge of DEA Dallas. “These sentences reflect that the DEA and our law enforcement partners are equally known throughout North Texas as holding those criminals accountable for their deeds to the fullest extent of the law. Good will always prevail and our resolve will never falter.”
This effort is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach. Additional information about the OCDETF Program can be found at https://www.justice.gov/OCDETF.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Department of Homeland Security and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ernest Gonzalez.

Are any of these guys involved in the Allende massacre?
ReplyDeleteMost likely they are
DeleteSan Fernando massacre by far, was worst.
DeleteValencia originario de Michoacán most Zetas flipped to CJNG in Michoacán also let’s remember La Familia Michoacána were Ex Z and CT as well so they are technically Zetas In Veracruz and the other Guy from SLP a stronghold of Zetas y Golfos
DeleteWasn't Marro also a Zeta at first?
DeleteYeah, they say Marro was Zetas
Delete11:30 Allende massacre almost doubled # of victims
DeleteMore so were they involved in the Petén Massacre, of which I reckon they have to be, alongside Amarillo
Delete11:54 oh wow isn’t Valencia the Milenio Cartel and owner of CJNG!??
DeleteAre the zetas in control or upper leadership of CJNG??
Do the Gulf Cartel work for the DEA FBI or CIA?
Los Chapitos works with DoJ and CDS works with the White House
CDN and CDSRL and Cartel United have ties to corrupt congressmen in the USA and federal agencies and corrupt politicians in Mexico.
Cartel Russia is controlled by Vladimir Putin and Cartel China is waiting for all the other cartels to die from a batch of bad meth precursor tainted with cyanide flavored orange food coloring, so they can move in and clean up shop.
Iran is in Mexico supplying cartels with heroin because Colombians don’t make it or sell it anymore hey diversified into oil production and timber 16 years ago
As stupid as this sounds to American ears, you’re spot on. Only it’s not Iran supplying heroin, those are the Lebanese & Syrians. Iran offered them explosives drones, & how to bring choppers down. People underestimate how much Arabs Persians Turks & other middle eastern people have influenced Mexico
DeleteThese are meaningful sentences. They must serve a minimum of 34 years before they are released. It's most likely that at least one, if not both, will die in prison.
ReplyDelete10:50; Good riddance!
DeleteAnyone remember the Z fans in here b/t 2010-2014? They were like Muncho fans saying….“Zetas will dominate and own all of Mexico by end of year!!””😂
Just like jaliscas fan but they don’t control Any border city
DeleteIt should have been life imprisonment but the US rarely gives that for big capos.
DeleteI'm not sure that I would call these guys big capos. More on the line of tier 2.
DeleteA life sentence for them wouldn't have made much difference. Guizar will be 77 when he is eligible for release and Hernandez will be 87. The average man in the U.S. dies at 75. Guizar has less than a 50% chance of being released while he is alive and Hernandez probably doesn't have much better than a 10% chance.
Regardless, they will be old and feeble if they manage to be released alive. In the meantime they won't be getting any girl pussy.
They will only getting boy pussy for the rest of their lives. Essentially, their lives are over.
5:31 Detroit I didn't get no Fed time so what I was told maybe incorrect but some people I know said the best they could do when getting a visit was coping a feel. Who knows🤷♂️
DeleteI've previously mentioned that México and the USA have an agreement where after an individual has been incarcerated in the USA for a certain time or percentage of his sentence he can petition through his consulate that he be sent to a prison in his native country. My guess is these individuals hope for that or they'll start cooperating to reduce their sentence and other benefits
12:09:
DeleteAny sexual activity on a visit will get you thrown in the hole, even if the screws only think there was sexual activity even if there wasn't.
Foreign nationals can serve their time in their native countries that the U.S. has treaties with. This is what Ghislaine Maxwell is trying to do because there are more benefits to doing her time in a British prison.
As a general rule, capos won't be approved for a transfer. Same for killing a cop, especially a federal agent. Chapo doesn't stand a chance of doing his time in Mexico. He will die in a U.S. prison.
Chapo can escape from U.S. supermax, but that would be a mistake. The Chapitos would have to be prepared for a pretty bloody escape in order to get their father out. They know that they would face retaliation from the U.S. government that's why I believe that Chapo will never escape.
They don't do straight time 🤣😂 feds do 85% then a halfway house!!!! the time they have been sitting !!! Be in 10
Delete-12 years dude u must of never done time!!!!🗣️😤🤡🤣😂🤔😂
4:29:
DeleteYou're absolutely right. I have never done time. I am part of the 80% that have never seen the inside of a jail or prison. The other 20% have to learn the difference between right and wrong the hard way.
@4:29 they were sentenced to 480 months, that's 40 years. 85% of 10 years = 8.5
Delete8.5 x 4= 34 years
El Carlitos was the famous uncle of Tamaulipecoz Warrior/Regioz from BB forums and Mexico foro back in the day. He was on suicide watch when Lazcano died. https://youtu.be/2-qd3Wfwjxk

DeleteI thought El 2000 was always BLO. Probably had an alliance with Zetas, but his plaza was Sonora and Zetas were never really that active there.
ReplyDeleteThey were active in Sonora for a minute especially in Obregón
DeleteIt was also written he was from Sinaloa and how he managed to evade capture several times in Sonora made me think he was familiar with the territory.
Delete40 year sentence. No money to buy leniency and no cooperation will merit proper prison punishment. I wonder how those CDS bosses or lieutenants like Palma Salazar and Torres Felix managed to receive such low sentences? 🧀
They made a big deal about el 2000 back in the day in the borderreporter website.
Delete3:51 that was a good site
Delete4:09
DeleteYes, it was. Everyone was more well informed there, too bad it's not active anymore.
Can someone explain why z40 has not been extradited to the usa ?
ReplyDeletePaying a lot of money he’s in Chiapas at the moment
Delete04:21 h z40 bribes the gobierno de mexico pendejo and is working on a new corridos album
Delete9:06 No mijo... usted se quedo en el 2006, ya las cosas han cambiado.
DeleteThis guys are fucking irrelevant. How much does the trial and housing of this cocksuckerw cost tax payers
