'El Chapo Isidro' Arrested Four Times In Sinaloa

Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, "El Chapo Isidro", has been arrested on four occasions between 2011 and 2015 for crimes related to drug trafficking, disappearance of persons, illegal use of exclusive Army weapons and murders, but has been released.

Chapo Isidro is the leader of the "Beltrán Leyva Cartel," as revealed by documents obtained by the Guacamaya hacktivists, in the largest information leak in the history of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena).

In other words, his arrests have not been minor, but he has been let free by agencies such as the Sinaloa Attorney General's Office under Marco Antonio Higuera Gómez (he was Attorney General from 2011 to 2016), as well as federal prosecutors.

Meza Flores, according to Sedena communications, allied himself with the criminal Rafael Caro Quintero and partnered with the "Carrillo Fuentes" organization.

"(There is a) 'Beltrán Leyva-Carrillo Fuentes' alliance, integrated by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores (a) 'El Chapo Isidro' and Álvaro Guadalupe Carrillo Fuentes (a) 'El Lapa'," stated one of the communications sent from the Ninth Military Zone in 2020. "It maintains total presence in the municipalities of Guasave and Sinaloa de Leyva, Sin, and partially in the municipalities of Navolato, El Fuerte, Choix, Ahome, Concordia, Escuinapa, El Rosario and Mazatlán," it added.

The Ministry of National Defense prepared a profile on Meza Flores, in which they detail a series of important clues, such as the municipalities in Sinaloa where he operates and has criminal actions.

The Sedena has observed Meza Flores' criminal activity, both terrestrial and maritime, identifying his operations in Sinaloa, Durango, Chihuahua, Baja California and Baja California Sur.

Meza Flores, according to a US Treasury Department report, is the criminal leader of the "Beltran Leyva Cartel" through one of his organizations called "Los Mazatlecos" or "Los Tortilleros".

In the structure there are other names such as José Sabá Ávalos Sánchez, "El Güero Sabá"; Samuel Lizárraga Ontiveros, "El Tortillero"; Juan Francisco Patrón Sánchez, "El H2", who continue to operate, according to the intelligence report of the United States and the Sedena, in municipalities such as Mazatlán, Guasave, Sinaloa, Ahome, El Fuerte and Choix.

The structure was even larger, the Sinaloa Attorney General's Office identified in 2011 other members as Jesús González Peñuelas, "El Chuy" Peñuelas, who led Batamote, Guasave; Jesús Miguel Pacheco Samaniego, "El Pecas", considered together with Juan Pablo Osuna Sánchez, "El 100", as the main drug operators in the municipalities of Ahome and El Fuerte.
