"HEARST" for Borderland Beat
A Sinaloa Cartel - Chapitos safehouse was raided in Los Ramones, Nuevo Leon. A chop shop dismantling stolen cars was raided in Dr. Arroyo, another town in the same state.
Los Ramones
During the night of Monday, January 16, 2023, the state Attorney General's Office (FGE) launched a raid on a property because a specific white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was spotted on the property.
Earlier that day two CDS hitmen engaged in a shootout with state police. The speeding off. The make and model of their white pickup truck, however, was noted by police.
The property was located on 13 de Septiembre Street in the Centro neighborhood of an outskirt town of Monterrey called Los Ramones.
The safehouse was located around 90 km outside of Monterrey and just five blocks away from the Los Ramones mayor's office. The house had no visible number marking it.
Two firearms, ammo, tactical vests, and branded packets of marijuana were found, along with a JGL baseball cap and a #701 branded paddle. Paddles like this are often used in fraternity-like fashion to punish other hitmen and civilians who have "wronged them" alike.
The 701 number is associated with El Chapo, referring to his alleged ranking on the Forbes list of the richest people in the world in 2009.
Meanwhile, JGL refers to the initials of El Chapo. Based on these items it seems safe to assume the safehouse belonged to a cell working under the Sinaloa cartel - los Chapitos faction .
They also seized two vehicles and a motorcycle on the property.
The documenting and seizing of evidence went long into the night, with authorities still on scene on the morning of Tuesday, January 16.
A second property was hit later that day, this one located in Arroyo, about 4 hours out of Monterrey.
The property was near Highway 57, at kilometer 28.
This property appears to have been functioning as some kind of chop shop.
Five stolen vehicles were found on the property. Theses vehicles were a Chevrolet Equinox, a Ram pickup, a Chevrolet Spark, a Chevrolet Suburban and a Dodge Charger.
Some of the vehicles were already in the process of being dismantled for parts.
I take it the paddle is for disciplining cartel members or hazing new members?
ReplyDeleteYes. And sometimes punishing people outside the cartel, like people they say stole from them.
DeleteThough the punishment for stealing is usually more severe.
Looks kinky - little grapes
DeleteSometimes cartels punish people over the most ridiculous things
DeleteI remember a story I read here where they caught this guy stealing in Sinaloa I believe. They branded “Por Rata” in his jaw and dropped him off at a gas station. It looked like it hurt really bad.
DeleteThe paddle made me laugh… Even the finest college fraternities would admire that! Lmao
ReplyDeleteCDS in NL?, dont think that lasts longer than few days... Thats CDN territory.

ReplyDeleteLa tabla another fucking reason why there is no respect amongst criminals. You know that their are some fucked up grudges because of the stupid ass way they discipline their ppl. If someone fucks up take pay. If they fuck up bad. Just kill the poor bastard
DeleteThose two who brought the heat to those homes are dead by now!
ReplyDeleteCds has an uphill battle going into nuevo leon.
DeleteHeat bag losers they put their name on everything..... Chaputos
ReplyDeleteSo we will never know of this was actually 701 or just a diversion. Typical
ReplyDeleteIt seems the white vehicles were like a trademark for the CDS. Or is it just a coincidence?
ReplyDeleteThey all scream when beaten with a tabla
ReplyDeleteWho of CDs hired these car thieves?
ReplyDeleteCDS once used to be the great one, that curupt government officials loved, because of the generous bribes, now there going after them, tearing down thier labs, now thier safehouse.
