American who gets red custom light busted at the border with cocaine.

Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas — An American man attempting to enter Mexico with cocaine was detained at the border. On Wednesday, the FGR of Mexico reported on the arrest of the unnamed man who was found attempting to smuggle the drug into the country.
His arrest took place during an inspection at the Juárez Lincoln International Bridge in the municipality of Nuevo Laredo. His van was inspected after he got a ‘red light’ from the customs traffic light system.
A review of his vehicle lead authorities to the finding of several bricks of cocaine. He was taken into custody by the National Guard in coordination with the National Customs Agency of Mexico.
The vehicle was entering Mexico from Laredo, Texas, when custom agents located the 12 packages of cocaine. An onsite test confirmed its contents.

ReplyDeleteSay someone lost a load and owes a debt from the US to Mexico. The cartel is not going to ask for payment by cocaine, and if they did, they would arrange for it to be picked up in the states and never cross it back over.
Sounds like they were trying to bring it back for some reason. Maybe something didn’t go right. It’s a number of things that could’ve happened. But I would think whoever’s it was was sent on consignment and something went wrong with that. That’s only logical thing I could think why you’re trying to recross with it. Not wanting to take any kind of loss tried to get his stuff back thinking it’d be simple cause cats aren’t really searched too hard going south and he ended up being that one in a million statistic. He should look around at how he’s doing things because that’s shit luck. For real.

Delete@3:35, it depends on the group of traffickers and the smuggling route used. To me, and of course my opinion is only that, the Caribbean route (DR,PR, Panama) has the best quality along with the Golfos coming thru Texas. I’ve seen some half and half shit come thru Sonora and TJ.

ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of repo vehicles sold at auctions and they have compartmented areas. Most of the time, the feds/cops go over areas but sometimes they don’t get all of the drugs out of the car. I am sure that this is one of the reasons why this happened. Weed? I get it, but coke is way pricier and there is no need to smuggle it back to Mex. I think the driver bought a seized vehicle and didn’t know that there was yeyo in it

We fly in shipments to jfk and Anderson AFB and supply CDS and CJNG with all of their stuff. Then and ONLY then are they free to do what they please with it.

DeleteHad a truck stolen in Tucson once, as I was returning to California from southern Sonora. Got the truck back a couple weeks later, dirty, but otherwise OK. Saw that spare tire was there, didn't check pressure. A few months later I was going back to Sonora and had a flat. Went to grab the spare, only to discover whoever stole the truck had left a big slash in the spare tire. I'm guessing they stole my truck and used it to transport drugs, then dumped it. Unlikely but not impossible drugs found their way into truck via other means and were forgotten about. Unusual circs for sure. Nobody is gonna knowingly smuggle that much coke into Mexico. Even if a planned deal went bad NOB, you'd probably bury it or stash it in a locker somewhere, not transport back across border.
