"Ivan" for Borderland Beat
An armed attack inside the nightclub "El Estadio" left eight people executed and 12 wounded in the community of La Labor, in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato.
According to local media, the events occurred at midnight on Saturday night, inside the establishment located next to the Panamerican Highway.
According to witnesses, a group of armed men arrived at the place, burst in and started shooting all over the business with weapons of different caliber.
Municipal Police, Mexican Army, National Guard and state forces arrived at the site.
The area was secured while paramedics attended to the injured and soon after, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Agency arrived.

ReplyDeleteLot of those people killed were hardworking guys, middle aged now, who used to work at the corral de la chiva. That was the best place place on earth. The good old days are gone from Guanajuato and they ain't coming back for a long time... If ever.
ReplyDeleteThis would be world wide news if it happend any where else. It's barley news on this site, like a little article and no follow up and will be forgotten by next week. It's so sad that it has come to this, that the violence is just so normal.
