America Dennis Barajas Dueñas, director of the Juvenile Integration Center in Fresnillo (CIJ), announced that a male patient arrived at the institution with a 12-month history of fentanyl use. She pointed out that he is being given adequate and timely treatment.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. It is a major contributor to fatal and non-fatal overdoses.
Unfortunately, this drug is already circulating in Fresnillo society, so to try to prevent its use, CIJ is conducting awareness workshops for teachers and students in Fresnillo schools.
He said that they are professionally prepared to deal with this type of consumption and any other substance.
Fentanyl and overdoses
Fentanyl and other synthetic opioids are the drugs most frequently involved in overdose deaths. It can be deadly even in small doses. More than 150 people die every day from overdoses related to synthetic opioids such as fentanyl.
The drugs may contain deadly levels of fentanyl, and you can't see it, taste it, or smell it. It is almost impossible to tell if drugs were laced with fentanyl unless you test your drugs with fentanyl test strips.
I truly think it's impossible to find the "first case". Fentanyl has been around for a while in the medicinal field for decades. It wasn't popularized till recently,but I'm sure there were plenty of people abusing fentanyl, specially those who have direct access to it.

I used to use fent like 15 years ago cause it did not show up in a regular u/a while in rehab. In rehab we would scrape that glue off a fent patch and ball it up amd smoked it off foil just like h. The shit been around, but once PURDUE PHARMA made the most non addictive ADDICTIVE DRUG. yea believe the slogan was you can't get addicted to oxys according to the SAKLER experts lol. And strung out the USA and the pain clinics then swoop no more oxy. It's funny the cartels choose to make there pills m 30 s. It's like a tip of a cap to the SAKLERS. there litterly thanking PURDUE PHARMA with every pill they press. 🤣
DeletePurdue pharma did not start the fent craze. It began when dealers, then cartels, noticed its profit potential. I believe addicts found out about it in the very late 90s when the discovered comfort kits from terminally I'll peoples home. Those kits have morphine and, back then, fent.
