Ovidio Guzman Won’t Avoid His Extradition By Denying His Identity

"Sol Prendido“ for Borderland Beat

Video translation is as follows:

In other news many have tried. But in Mexico no one has been able to stop their extradition with the argument that he is not the same person that another nation claims to try him for various crimes. This has been possible thanks to the facial recognition software called Animetrex. Although the requested will try to perform facial surgeries or damage their fingerprints.

The expert analysis carried out by the general coordination of expert services of the criminal investigation agency of the Attorney General's Office is capable of revealing their true identity. The software was created by the United States and Mexico acquired it in 2015. It is constantly updated and is the tool that ensures that alleged criminals do not evade justice. As in the case of Ovidio Guzmán López.

Last March, Joaquin El Chapo Guzman's son affirmed before a federal judge that he was not the person the U.S. government wants to convict. A recent case in which a detainee tried to deny his identity was that of Rubén Oseguera Gonzalez El Menchito, who offered partial statements to try to prove that he was not the son of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes El Mencho, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

As evidence, El Menchito provided a forensic medical expert on anthropometry and identification of persons. As well as a private expert on physiognomy admitted on July 24, 2017, and presented on July 6, 2018. However, the Attorney General's Office proved that it was the same person. And El Menchito was extradited in February 2020.

    2. Yeah he maybe a big baller down there , but up here until he gets a network set up he’s gonna be some gang member initiation to go beat El Chapo sons ass. These convicts live for that type of hype while incarcerated. Hell end up paying some gang extortion fees to “protect” him.

    3. More like life in a supermax solitary confinement cell. Any info he has will be out of date by the time he gets to the US or teh US already has the info

    2. Doesn’t matter, if they sufficiently identify him as the person who is the defendant charged through witness testimony or other evidence. The old “you spelled my name wrong” trick doesn’t work these days.

    3. In the US indictments get thrown out all the time for loop holes like that. Seen a murder indictment get tossed because the legal jargon was spelled wrong.

      Delete
    4. 7:45 you're out of your depth. And to the extent that any indictment gets dismissed for a technical reason, the prosecution just corrects the mistake and refiles. People walking for the equivalent of a clerical error does not happen "all the time" if ever.

    5. @7:45 your statement that the case was dismissed “because the legal jargon was spelled wrong” shows that you don’t know what you are talking about.

      Delete
    6. @7:45 Fed indictments are equivalent to game over. The US doesn't indict unless they know they're gonna get a conviction. 95%+ conviction rate. State, county, municipal, you have better odds. But, it's still as likely as winning the lotto, as to be acquitted.

  13. On June 22 2012 the Mexican Marina stated it had captured "Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar " .They presented him to the news agency and made a big deal about his arrest .He was displayed as a trophy . Then it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity . What is crazy is that even to todays date ,if you search online for "Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar" there are some sites that still show the picture of the innocent man that was arrested . Heres is the story

Hate to say it , but that entire family will never rest. The Government will always find a reason to persecute them. Generations to come.

  20. These narco juniors’ game is hilarious… “it wasn’t me.” I’m not saying that anyone wants to go to prison for along time, but those old schoolers are seldom seen or heard of, the ones who take their hits and lick their wounds later, and use their millions to pay for great lawyers to get a plea deal… that’s what that extra money so for. Now it’s like a novela and everyone knows they’re still getting canned. His brothers are likely not helping much either, too much drama and heat in the family

I'm shocked they've lasted this long. They're not as stupid as they're made out to be, but like Sol said, Their ego, and pride will do them in. If I was a Guzman, Mexico is the last place I'd feel safe.
