Rincón de Tamayo, Guanajuato: A Woman Is Hanged From A Bridge

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

She was taken to receive medical attention, her health condition is unknown.

A lifeless woman with various bruises and marks of torture on her arms, face, and legs was hanged from the access bridge to the community of Rincón de Tamayo.

The body was located at night at approximately 11:40 p.m., when motorists passing through the area observed the body hanging by the neck with a rope from the bridge in Rincón de Tamayo, on the Salvatierra-Celaya highway.

The calls from those passing through the area to the 911 Emergency System were immediate and some of them described that the woman had bruises and traces of torture on her arms, face and legs, so elements of the Municipal Police were sent to the site.

Municipal police and officers of the National Guard arrived at the site, who acted as first responders, and who confirmed that it was a woman, who was tied by the neck to the highest part of the bridge with a yellow rope.

Upon inspection they realized that she had bruises on her face, legs and arms, so they immediately cordoned off the area and requested the intervention of the State Attorney General's Office, through its personnel located in Region "C".

Later, Criminal Investigation Agents (AIac) arrived, attached to the Specialized Homicide Unit, who initiated the first investigations, as well as an expert, who processed the scene and then lowered the body. At the end of the scene, the Forensic Medical Service personnel removed the body, and it was taken in the Evidence Transfer Unit to their facilities in Guanajuato capital, as unidentified.

Unofficial versions indicate that the body was taken out of a pickup truck by hooded men, who tied a rope to the retaining barrier of the bridge and then tied the woman's body to let it fall and flee towards Celaya, however, the authorities will confirm this version through their investigations.

The results of the necropsy will be awaited in order to determine the exact cause of death and her identity. The case is in the hands of the State Attorney General's Office in order to follow up and clarify this finding.

  1. And to think many think Mexico is safe to live in or be in. This is such a tragic scene, where one only wonders how someone can do this to another human being.

    1. That's the new normal, murders happen everyday, hardly do they investigate.
If I lived in Mexico, I would have problems sleeping.

    5. Mass shooting? Can’t compare that to the daily crimes in third world countries. Sad either way, but definitely not the same.

    2. Sometimes, it's not a contra/debtor, it's just a innocent person, criminals use to heat up the plaza or just use for practice (torture/k!lling/criminal initiation)

    2. That is so very sadly true, these animals can drag ANYONE including babies into their depravities. Prison isnt the answer for these hounds from hell, death is.

    3. I 💯 % agree. It's hard to feel bad when there are female cartel cells. I seen a video the other day with with female cartel members like those mz ladies doing the same shit and no one said damn I feel bad for that poor woman beating a grown man tied up on the floor. I'm Def not saying she's not innocent but with out the facts who's to say she is not involved in something. When they say innocent woman hung from bridge then I'll feel bad. Until then the games afoot.

    1. Isn’t it “isn’t?”

    2. No , it's not isn't when the sentence starts with Isn't. The first word in a sentis always capitalized.
