A man from Mexico who used a child to transport large quantities of methamphetamine in the U.S. has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison.
Prosecutors say Rafael Muniz-De La Mora used a 4-year-old child to carry 10 pounds of meth in their backpack during a major drug deal.
Muniz-De La Mora, 49, had pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine.
The Drug Enforcement Administration in eastern Washington state had identified him and a co-defendant, Carlos Madrigal-Deniz, while investigating a drug trafficking organization. The feds said Muniz-De La Mora was identified as Madrigal-Deniz’s supplier.
Rafael Muniz-De La Mora escorted the young child, wearing the Spider-Man backpack filled with drugs, from one vehicle to another, September 2020. (U.S. Attorney's Office via KIMA)
In September 2020, Madrigal-Deniz made arrangements for a 10-pound delivery of methamphetamine from Muniz-De La Mora, who brought a 4-year-old child to the transaction. The child was wearing a Spider-Man backpack containing approximately 10 pounds of methamphetamine.
Muniz-De La Mora escorted the young child, wearing the backpack, from one vehicle to another. Muniz-De La Mora, the child, and another co-defendant got into the second vehicle, a Chevy Cruze.
The DEA stopped the car and recovered the backpack, which was next to the child.
Muniz-De La Mora was also sentenced to five years of federal supervision after he's released from prison.

ReplyDeleteYakima is a cartel infested hellhole
ReplyDeleteThis was actually in Pasco,Wa 1hr south of Yakima
ReplyDeleteI live here in the tri cities Yakima is next door. Happened here not Yakima. But let me tell you YAKIMA IS FREAKING INSANE. Puro fukin evil. The whole county is on fire. Gang and cartel infested. Murders happen on an alarming rate. It's unbelievable here you literally can get shot for simply wearing the wrong thing or saying the wrong thing.
ReplyDeleteBut, but, gun advocates say that can't happen in the US. They say guns and Captain America Douchebag won't allow it!
DeleteFor wearing the wrong thing? What is this, the 90s/2000s?
DeleteTri Cities are Crackima JR. The whole Yakima valley is infested too.
DeleteMoronic. Its gun control not gun ban.
Delete1990 .. hey buddy you don't believe me come on down. A poor dude with autism got shot for wearing red like a month ago IN THE MALL OF ALL PLACES. Shit is the wild west here. Forget about LA or Chicago come here and see for yourself.

DeleteNobody is wondering why - pay attention.
Where does that crap cost more seattle area or yakima and all those small towns?
ReplyDeleteProb same price
DeleteIt’s $90 a ball in Downtown Seattle, but the police have been parked and standing around all the hotspots for the past 6 months. Before they started their huge presence, there would be 3 or 4 Mexicans at the corners or bus stops with ice, rock, brown and blue, and it was so easy to score.
DeleteThis guy is a real lowlife to use a young child in a drug transaction. It's not only using the child in a drug transaction but also placing the child's life in danger because of frequent robberies during drug transactions. Things could have gone incredibly wrong and this could have ended badly.
ReplyDeleteHe was lucky to get only 12 years. He should have gotten life.
Some guy in Florida just got 12 years for barley over a gram of crack. He violated his parole for battery but still, I don’t see where a sentence like that comes from for something that small.
Delete10:15 from breaking the law duh! He has 12 years to take steps to sober up and lay down the foundation to a more productive life plus he doesn't have to worry about shelter and food!
Delete2:16 ………
DeleteHes a good guy..hes installing a good work ethic in a youngster.
DeleteAnd the 4 year old was sentenced to 2 days no TV.
ReplyDeleteLol yea that’s a good one ☝️ n no chokomil for him either lol
DeleteIf a rival Cartel caught that kid carrying bags of drugs in their area of Mexico.
DeleteHe would be sliced into pieces.
If a rival cartel caught a 4 year old with drugs, they would have recruited him, gave him an AK-47 and promoted him to a sicario. It's a lot cheaper to pay in suckers than marchun.
DeleteFunny what u said.
Delete7:27, it’s $90 an 8 ball in Downtown Seattle. I used to go to 3rd and Bell, and there would be at least 3 or 4 Mexicans hanging around the bus stop and corners with rock, ice, brown and blues. The police have been all around downtown for the past 6 months though, so it’s not like that anymore in Belltown, or other popular places in downtown.
ReplyDeleteYakimas violence is due to generations of gangs going after each other over and over. Yea the you do have allot of people with cartel ties tho threw out the whole valley all the way to Pasco you can do research on Bueno DTO that’s been caught more then 2 times in major drug cases over a decade. My understanding the area is a port for drugs it stops here before Seattle or Canada and to the east like Montana, dakotas all the way to Chicago
ReplyDeleteFunny how they are so called Americans...but usually have a hispanic name.
ReplyDeleteIndians are native American, and most have Hispanic names too.
