High End & Classic Vehicles Seized from La Familia Michoacán Leaders Resulting in Blockades

"Socalj" for Borderland Beat

The seizures lead to nearly a dozen narco blockades in the area. Several areas were isolated for over 3 days. At least eight of the blockades were led by local Mayors who are members of the PRI, PRD, and Morena.

Producers of melons, mangos, and lemons complained that it was impossible for them to move their products. Classes were suspended. The towns were left without public transportation, as the drivers were forced to join the blockades. The same happened with carriers and merchants. People had to walk kilometers in search of food, according to local media reports.

Last Thursday there was a meeting of the Table for the Construction of Peace, in Ciudad Altamirano, Guerrero. Eleven mayors from Tierra Caliente and the Northern Region decided not to attend the meeting. They alleged that they had been threatened by organized crime, specifically by the Los Tlacos group, through text messages.

The following day, the State Attorney General's Office carried out a search of a Pungarabato warehouse. There, the agents found high-end vehicles including:

Chevrolet El Camino - $25,000-$50,000 & Unknown Sedan

Custom Hummer - $110,000

Lamborghini Urus SUV - $280,000

Yellow Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon Edition - $55,000. A construction company logo is on the door.

Custom Chevrolet AD pickup from the 1950s -$50,000 to $75,000

Two Chevrolet SSR trucks (one yellow and one red) - $15,000 each

Orange Custom Chevrolet C-10 step-side square body truck - $45,000 to $75,000

Ram TRX 4WD Truck - $125,000

The trucks were yellow and red: the colors that distinguish the cars of José Alfredo Hurtado Olascoaga, known as El Fresa.

The Hummer and luxury cars were black and white: the favorites of Johnny Hurtado Olascoaga, who is nicknamed El Pez.

From last October to date, more than 30 properties have been seized from the brothers, and some cell leaders of their group have been apprehended.

Mayor Led Blockades & Protests

Hours after the seizure against the leaders of La Familia Michoacana, blockades were unleashed in Pungarabato, Altamirano, Tlapehuala, Arcelia, Coyuca, Cutzamala, Tlalchapa, and Petatlán. The residents demanded the immediate departure of the agents. "They come to steal because they don't have search warrants," said the Mayor of Pungarabato, Cuauhtémoc Mastachi. The Mayor of Tlapehuala, José Luis Antúnez, accused the ministries of carrying out operations "arbitrarily."

The blockades were joined by the Mayor of Arcelia, Bulmaro Torres; Mayte Arce, President of Cutzamala; and Eusebio Echeverría, Mayor of Coyuca as the Municipal Presidents of San Miguel Totolapan, Fredy Vázquez, and Tlalchapa, Tania Mora Eguiluz.

All of them took the lead in the mobilizations, with signs that accused "The Prosecutor's Office is corrupt" and, as if to clear up any doubt, they clarified: "We are the people." Also, the Mayors were joined by federal and local deputies, such as the PRD member Elzy Camacho, who accused the agents of carrying out "looting and raids without a search warrant." The Secretary General of the Government, Ludwig Marcial Reynoso, denounced that the mobilization of carriers had been ordered by organized crime.

    1. Here is someone who knows what’s up. Other than Humvees and MTVRs never saw any American truck junk on the battlefield because they are straight trash! Narcos already make monstrous trucks 🛻 worse with all that extra weight. Look up the Toyota wars, Japanese all the way reliability at its finest like those communists AKs with sand or mud still functional or the Nokia 3310.

    2. Not necessarily, depends on what condition. Those trucks are popular https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/chevrolet/c10/1973

    3. They’re overpriced. Pretty clear they’re not show quality, but priced as such. Just because a certain type of car is valued doesn’t mean that ALL of those types are.

  11. Those are ridiculous prices! NOBODY would pay those prices for any of those below average, run of the mill vehicles. I’m just a little above average blue collar American small business owner, and I could own all those pieces of shit. And that’s without the raping torturing kidnapping extorting dismembering drug dealing murdering bullshit! With that being said, and without glorifying the scum bags. To achieve that level of success as a Michoacán gangster is definitely impressive in a sick way.

  16. None of you have any idea of the value of these old restoration jobs… You can’t see the engine or know if it’s been rebuilt you can’t see the quality of the paint job or the quality of the interior restoration. They could be extremely high quality and every area done to the best available quality, but you can’t tell from the video, there’s simply no way to know for sure one way or the other however, the red truck does look like it has an excellent paint job. And the two Chevy SSRs for 15,000 is way less than they sold for retail-40K I think and top speed of 150– the question on those two is how many miles do they have on them but as for looking at a picture from distance and determining quality not possible
