Three hitmen broke into a home and killed two young girls, 7 and 10 years old, who were sleeping along with their mother and grandmother in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato.
The Family Massacre
On the morning of April 30, 2023, three heavily-armed hitmen broke into a home in the town of Apaseo El Grande.
Apaseo el Grande is located in the eastern part of the state of Guanajuato. The municipality is contested between the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) and the Cártel de Santa Rosa de Lima (CSRL).
According to Noticias Vespertinas, the home the hitmen targeted was a yellow building, marked #374C, located on Ignacio Allende Street.
Neighbors told police they heard the noise of a door being broken down at around 5:35 a.m..
After forcing their way in, the three hitmen attacked the people, all female, inside the home. The hitmen systematically combed through the residence, shooting everyone inside.
Periodico Correo spoke with neighbors who alleged the victims were a grandmother, her daughter and her two granddaughters, who were just 7 and 11 years old.
The grandmother and two girls were sleeping when the attack began.
A fifth woman, a friend of the family, was also present in the home. She was shot during the attack but managed to survive. She is currently recovering from her injuries at a local hospital.
The victims of the attack have been identified as:
María Dolores “N”, 54 years old
Grandmother, killed, died on scene
Jessica “N”, also known as Jessi, 28 years old
María’s daughter, killed, died on scene
Unnamed, 11 years old
Jessica’s daughter and María’s granddaughter, killed, died at the hospital
Unnamed, 7 years old
Jessica’s daughter and María’s granddaughter, killed, died on scene
Unnamed, 21
A friend of Jessica, injured but survived
TV Azteca published a phone interview with a neighbor who said the mother, Jessica, worked at a local factory.
Shortly after the shooting, a neighbor called the 911 emergency line call and reported the sound of gunshots. Municipal police officers arrived at the scene and confirmed the report, finding the massacred family inside.
Forensic experts from the State Criminal Investigative Agency, or AIC, collected evidence on scene, finding multiple shell casings. The bodies of the deceased victims were taken by coroner's office for autopsy.
It's currently unknown if the CSRL or CJNG were behind the attack. Updates to follow.
Targeting little girls pure scumbags. Rip to to the four ladies.
ReplyDeleteTargeting little girls sounds just like Chapo and Mayo.
DeleteLos Mata Ancianos aka Baby killer Cartel.
ReplyDeleteThe other day, they were distributing Toys, today they shot up a defenseless family that was sleeping.
DeletePolice arrives later, instead of sooner.

DeleteWhen seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

DeleteYes but you're forgetting it's Mexico, they can respond quick or if they are getting paid, by the local cartel, then of course they will take longer to respond.
Guarantee that the husband is in the cartel and did something very bad or owed money and they paid him back. “ U live by the sword u will die by the sword”. I know many CDG members who have their families
ReplyDeleteLiving on the US side in safety while they do their dirty work in Mexico.
With all due respects what you are saying is not true. The fact that a family of four is slained has nothing to be with one or other member of the family been working for organized crime. First of all, this family didn´t have a husband since the mother was single and as it usually happens in these cases she was working in a factory and at the same time raising two small children alone.
DeleteIt is extremely ludicrous to think that the victims always are responsible for what happens to them. But I know why you say so: because it is the easy thing to do...
What about doing some osint into the city of Apaseo el Grande? What about reading a bit about the living conditions of the local population?
Do you know that much of the violence directed against civilians in Mexico is linked either to extortion or to loan-sharks that local criminal groups use to exert their domain over civil society?
You remind me of those people that when hearing about a women being killed think either "she must have done something" or even worse "she had it coming for being a whore".
Socilogist Lerner studied people like you when developing his theory of the heuristics and concluded that the people that think like you are either selfish or even worse; mediocre
I would go we people that comment... mediocre.
DeleteSure we all want to know the facts, which we know there is more to the story. People are quick to jump to conclusions of their own in here. A husband 🤣 when their is no husband in the picture.
I think most Borderland Beat readers do just want to get information and decent background about what is going on in Mexico right now. And they are not mediocre but insightful people in search of some light amidst darkness.
DeleteBut there is a red line between mere speculation and the deliberate blaming of innocent people. There are certain things that can´t be tolerated.
Maybe the 7 year old 2as running her own cartel.
Delete11:14 a.m. Perfectly said.
ReplyDeleteTERRORIST, NOT HITMAN
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wonder if guys like you believe that "designating them as terrorists" means people just... Calling them terrorists.
DeleteLike, you genuinely believe everyone is this worked about terminology.
Terrorist which they are, has a better reference in going after them, similar to the RICO Act.
DeleteMy beloved Hearst, how are you? I hope you’re having a fantastic day so far and that your evening wherever you’re at it’s even better.
