"Ivan" for Borderland Beat
El Fuerte, Sin.- Elements of the Mexican Navy were captured through video recordings, during this Saturday when they deployed by land between dirt roads just in the vicinity of the community of Mochicahui, belonging to the municipality of El Fuerte, although at the moment the reason for their presence is unknown.
In the videos that have circulated in social network groups, a group of marines can be seen running along the bank of an irrigation canal and later the moment when a helicopter of the institution lands on the dirt road is captured.
In another video, a federal forces helicopter was also captured flying over the area where the Indigenous Autonomous University of Mexico is located, located in the Mochicahui syndicate, although it is clearly flying at a low altitude as it passes over the building.
The videos that have circulated in the last hours in social networks, apparently were captured by some citizens, who with their cell phones took the shots, when they were surprised by the presence of Navy elements during daylight hours.
So far there is no precise information as to the reason for the presence of the Navy in this area of the municipality of El Fuerte, although it was reported that they are part of the actions of Operation Escudo Componente Universal, which is being carried out in Sinaloa.
