"El Huaso" for Borderland Beat
Alejo Valenzuela López, former Sinaloa President for the Movimiento Ciudadano, and a former deputy of Culiacan, was found dead in his home with torture wounds last night.
Police responded to the scene after his family called 911 after finding his body at his home in the Rincón Alameda neighborhood of Culiacán. They say he was missing for one day. Local news reports say that his body was found with burns, which is consistent with torture victims.

1:26 Logical question. Risky to return López to his home; although maybe family was threatened in some capacity to report it this way - but good observation.
