You know he would have done anything to avoid falling into Mencho’s hands but he ended up there anyway. He had to have been “arrested” by some crooked cops or betrayed by someone he trusted, just as he betrayed Mencho. By time something like this happens you aren’t going to have a chance to do yourself unless you keep a cyanide capsule under your tongue or use some other impractical measures.
