Gulf Cartel Threatens CJNG with Two Bodies and Narco Message in Tamuín, San Luis Potosi

By "El Huaso" for Borderland Beat

Two plastic wrapped bodies and a narco message were found early this morning in front of the municipal palace of Tamuín, San Luis Potosi. In the message, the Gulf Cartel threatens rivals the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG).

The message contains a list of names of alleged CJNG affiliates and their jobs, such as "police" and "lookout".

Andres La Estaca

Jorge Munrroy

Silenia de la posta

Marianna Guadalupe

Ernesto Escamilla policía

Jorge Martínez alias "La bola"

Gastón Soni

Benjamín Alejandro

Omar Cepeda alias la empanada

Raúl barrer alias Panochas

El Pichus alias la vaca

El hinchado

Martín Em alias Poly venanos

This will happen to all of those who support “Romin Soni” and all of his people who are in Tamun, here CJNG does not belong.

Signed, Cartel del Golfo

A leaked Secretariat of Defense report from August 2022 shows that several major criminal groups actively dispute the state, including the Gulf Cartel, the Northeastern cartel, Los Alemanes, the Sinaloa cartel, the CJNG, and the Cartel de los Independientes.

Now the battle still rages as these groups fight for control of the centrally located state. According to El Financiero, the main criminal markets are drug trafficking, business extortion, kidnapping, robbery, and cobro de piso, which is charging criminal actors for the right to operate. Last month, Milenio reported that sugar cane producers in Naranjo, San Luis Potosi, fed up with extortion are threatening to rise up and form an autodefensa group.

    1. It’s literally the largest cartel in Mexico foo. Those piece of shits are literally fighting from Chiapas to Baja. And from el golfo to the sea of cortez. You realize just to fund that type of war throughout the whole country is costing Mencho or whoever millions upon millions of dollars.

I'm going to assume this is a genuine comment.

That indictment was released to the public by the US Justice Department and we have covered it heavily, along with frequently linking to the full document.

    12. It costs millions on millions to support their wars, not to mention the man power. The thing is CJNG has the money and like someone above me says they use extortion money. Most times they dont openly extort in their own name when entering a plaza cause that’s Gunna make the locals hate them and it’s much needed to have the locals on your side for many many obvious reasons..SO what they do is enter a plaza and set up cells that extort in THEIR ENEMIES NAME. It’s a Win Win situation with the only people losing are the regular citizen. It heats up the plaza, bringing attention to the enemy. It makes them look like the good guys when they betray this cell and leave them dead somewhere saying something like “here are your extortionists This is the fate of those who do the same, we CJNG do not do this and do not tolerate it..etc blah blah blah..” but above all else they KEEP AND USE the money to fund their war. Both sides do this and so other bullshit in their enemies name and basically it forces the hand of the government and the person who looks the worst gets taken out by the govt. exactly what they did in GTO.
Plus it’s rumored that El Primito helps fund CJNG wars with money they make from Crossing migrants. And that this is part of the deal they made. And that every 5 tons they cross. 1 is theirs . As a “Tithe” for cjng being able to use they logistical structure and Routes/Border crossings

Mencho is not dead . Anyone who says so is tucking stupid. They use the fact that he hasn’t been heard or seen in years but the idiots don’t realize that he has nothing to prove to any of them. Why should he show his face? Really why? The ones that need to know he’s alive, know. The ones that don’t, it’s safer they think he’s dead. Vaca probably met mencho once if that. Very few people do. Only his inner circle does and it’s probably not even often. I read somewhere on rolling stone or some accredited site that he’s almost always encaphucado when he’s out and about and travels through cities in an ambulance when going from one place to another that cannot be reached through brechas.
Also the biggest point is. MAYO ZAMBADA hasn’t been seen in what? Like a decade. So he’s dead too right? I mean his cartel seems to be fractured and keeps fracturing more and more. It was said he also suffered from type of illness. Literally the same arguments as to Why people say Mencho are dead but oh no when U apply it to MZ. It’s not true lol
If Mencho was dead. His cartel would have fractured more. Yeah pájaros sierra. Vaca and whoever else turned but that’s because idiots fucked up and had no choice, they couldn’t hold their ambitions, mad they were overlooked for promotion like Vaca.( Look how that went for him btw), or mofos stole from CJNG/bet the hand that fed them
Mencho is Alive and I think he’s not even sick. Probably started that rumor himsel. Benefits him to have ppl think so and plus he’s smart. Wouldn’t doubt that he’s setting up to fake his death down the road when shit really hits the fan for him. Probably knows it’s rare that you can live to die of old age like MZ probably will. Jardinero and El 03 will probably share command and from what is rumored they basically handle Al day to day stuff/ are his right hand and are very close
Mencho was smart though, so people would acknowledge Menchito and 03 he had THEM godfather other peoples Sons and daughters and had them marry peoples daughters like Menchito Married Don Chelos Daughter, had them do everything so the other bosses would be THEIR compadres too. He had them put people their age roughly. In position or the other bosses sons and his sons become compadres like El Meño Pelayo aka Sr 18 (His dad is Don Meño)
Dude is smart man I give him that

    3. do you actually believe an average citizen finds comfort in narco mantas in their town? it's never a good thing. do you not understand the insecurity that comes with that kind of conflict?

  4. I’m starting to also think that if a cartel were truly successful and had the upper hand, they wouldn’t need to publicly state all this crap…

    Perhaps desperation tactics these days?

    2. it's intended to cause terror. it serves its intended purpose here.

    3. They instill terror without the cardboard signs. Most often than not it’s likely rival cartels trying to frame the other side..

  5. Great story by NPR Re: do research published in the national journal for public health indicates that massive drug sweeps, and the taking down the large criminal networks actually cost more lives than they say. Amazing the war on drugs is a failure you’re kidding me, but the DEA always states and just recently stated in an interview about these basic statistics and they had no comment. Duh you’re trying to destroy their livelihoods. What do you think they’re going to say please in their career so we can go and do something that’s worthwhile. Look I don’t know what the answer is but it’s damn sure not what we’re doing now which makes everything worse as I’ve stated for 40 years the let’s keep doing it because it’s the way we always have done it and just think about it and look at it. It’s common sense , if you lock people up, it will change their behavior consequences people life is about consequences. Bullshit life is about being brutally, honest and look at yourself in the mirror and excepting responsibility for your 50 year old effing F up of the drug war. Great job politicians.
