San Luis Potosí, SLP: They Were Visiting the Prison... They Tried to Bring 9 Kilos of Drugs and Alcohol In

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

They were informed about their arrest and later handed over to the Attorney General's Office.

As a result of the security and inspection protocols applied before and after entering a penitentiary, guards seized nine kilos of marijuana, and three bottles of liquor that were intended to be smuggled into the state penitentiary; four people were detained.

As part of the review mechanisms established to prevent the entry of drugs, weapons, prohibited articles and products, the presence of a black 2012 Dodge Caravan van of foreign origin was detected at the main entrance to the penitentiary located in the capital of the state of Potosí; when they were stopped and the reason for their presence was made known, they became very nervous.

Samuel N, 53 years old, was driving the van, accompanied by his wife Wendy, 51 years old, his son Alan, 21 years old, and his daughter-in-law André, 26 years old. Upon inspecting the back of the vehicle, three 20-liter buckets were found inside with some pieces of meat and in the lower part marijuana, as well as three bottles of liquor.

They recognized that they were trying to enter illegally, for which reason they were informed of their detention and later handed over to the Attorney General's Office of the Republic for the beginning of the pertinent investigations and to determine who was responsible.

    1. The article clearly says “main entrance”. Seems that paid guard failed to give them a pass. I would further assume that once inside compound, they park the car and later some guard is unloading the car while the passengers are visiting someone. But just assumptions from my side.

    4. You suck at life homeboy, try reading. And if that's not enough then go to school or you tube to learn how to read and comprehend things. 😔😢

    5. Gringos alluded to in a couple comments, but the article only says the CAR was of foreign origin..
Lots of chocolates on the road, but if the vehicle had American license plates, that might raise an eyebrow or two at the prison gates..
I imagine, like 9:25 says, that they thought they had a pass, but when they winked at the guard and he didn't wink back, they started to show nervousness, and the jig was up..

  3. When I was in prison there were strange items being smuggled in with the drugs, like extra meat (whole chickens)and spices for the bland prison food. Was just as important to some prisoners. I guess it’s all about making your time better in anyway you can. Protein and steroids was another must have for the body builders in there.
