At least 120 elements of the Mexican Army's Special Forces arrived in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, to reinforce security and inhibit organized crime activities along the border with the United States.

On board a Mexican Air Force aircraft, the military personnel arrived on Friday afternoon at the Quetzalcoatl International Airport of Nuevo Laredo, and in coordination with the authorities of the three levels of government will carry out deterrence, prevention and patrolling tasks, informed the Ministry of Defense (Sedena).

In addition, military security posts will be installed to reduce crime rates and intentional homicides in the municipality, with the presence of criminal cells related to the Northeast Cartel.

The objective of the military presence is to generate an atmosphere of tranquility in the population, acting at all times with full respect for human rights, reported the Sedena.

It emphasized that the Special Forces units are characterized by their great mobility, flexibility and deployment capacity, armament, material, equipment and specialized training to carry out inter-institutional operations in coordination with federal, state and municipal authorities.

The reinforcement of security in Nuevo Laredo took place two months after a video was released showing Army personnel committing extrajudicial executions against five civilians at a point in the Tamaulipas city, which led to the arrest of 16 military personnel who are being held at Military Camp 1-A in Mexico City.

    1. They were trained in Tijuana in covert Zebra mounted urban special warfare tactics. Extra judicial rape by Donkey Dick will be used as a first resort interrogation tactic. Most cartel members will actually enjoy this.
