"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
A video appears online of a man apparently abducted, identified as Gabriel Omar Lopez Arzola, who claims to be from Chihuahua, Chihuahua.
The young man says that he was contracted as an assassin by a guy he only knows by the nickname of Mr. Castro.
Gabriel Omar claims to have participated in at least 5 murders, one of which was the
execution of municipal police officer Javier Alberto Galo Sanchez. He claims Mr. Castro ordered the execution to be carried out.
Mr. Castro is the chief assassin for the criminal organization La Plaza. His full name is Antonio Castro Valenzuela, aka Castro, Rabano, or Señor Castro. EI Castro responds to the orders of Roy Antonio Soto Quintero aka Tony or Barbas, who is the right-hand man of his uncle Jose Gil Caro Quintero, aka Pelo Chino, the top boss of the Cartel De Caborca.
This individual is the person who has given instructions for the towns of Guaymas, Empalme, and Valles to once again become battle zones in a frustrated attempt to try to retake command in these territories.
Several weeks ago, other gunmen from the criminal group La Plaza were arrested who revealed that with lies and false promises, they were recruited by this organization for an alleged purge, Which includes killing people at random in order to destabilize the tranquility that already prevailed in these municipalities.

Captive: I’m from Chihuahua, Chihuahua.
Interrogator: When did you arrive to this port city?
Captive: I’ve been here for 3 days, actually it’s been 3 weeks that I’ve been here.

Captive: 5.
Interrogator: Where exactly were those hits committed?
Captive: In the neighborhoods of Yucatán, San Carlos Nuevo Guaymas, Colinas de Fatima, the one against the policemen, and that hit that took place at the port.
Interrogator: Who contracted you?
Captive: Mr. Castro.
Interrogator: What was their aim with the innocent civilians?
Captive: Their purpose was to draw a police presence in the area.
Interrogator: How did he choose who to kill?
Captive: It was just being done against any random person.
Interrogator: Who ordered the execution of the policemen?
Captive: Castro did.
Voiceover: On August 4 this member of the La Plaza cartel was captured on video surveillance at the exact moment of committing an execution in the Colinas de Fatimas neighborhood of Guaymas.
