ReplyDeleteIt’s not the cartel it according to Santa Maria Times the kid got into a car accident with the 3 men and they grabbed him shoved him into there car and took off they then brought him to Santa Maria and were caught there I moved out of Santa Maria last year and it’s gotten crazier ever since

DeleteThe initial kidnapping occurred in the inland empire, 5 hours south of Santa Maria. Being that they ended up in a hotel in Santa Maria im assuming they just drove as far away as possible from the crime scene. Supposedly the kidnappers purposely crashed into the victim as a ploy to get the 17 year old out of his vehicle. We still don't know if this was cartel/ drug related, but according to the news, something went down in New York between the victims father and the kidnappers for them to take these actions. We don't know if this was a random act, or if these guys are career criminals who commit these kidnappings for randsom back in home.

Next, kidnapping data is notoriously difficult to come by because it's often not reported. I'll tell you this - kidnapping for ransom is infinitely easier to pull off in other countries like Mexico than in the US.

The US is a major human trafficking hub with kidnapping being rampant but it goes reported as "human trafficking" to cover law enforcement's ass that it actually happens as much as it does. Well over a 1000 kids are kidnapped within the US every year, and that's only kids. I can tell by your writing you only read the Wikipedia article. You can chech the DOJ and FBI for further information. It must be nice to live in your pink bubble of "reality".

DeleteYou are not well informed. These types of kidnappings for ransom originate in Mexico and end up in the USA. Once migrants cross the border some are held for ransom and if no money is paid they're put to work as sex workers (the females). It's literally a kidnapping for ransom but since it originated in a foreign country, as migrants crossing the border, it's classified as "human trafficking".
Literally happened to me 5 days ago. I was called from a random # & it was a lady crying saying she was my mom(sounded like her) & she said she was Ina car accident & there was a lot of blood & I was really worried so then she passed me to another guy supposedly he was a cop & he told me to calm down & then told me that they had my mom kidnapped & wanted to meet at a location & if I clicked the phone they were gonna chop a finger off. I instantly clicked then called my mom luckily she answered cus I was omw to the location. It’s shady af what these bums are doing nowadays & it pissed me off so much I called again but the line was then disconnected

@908. A kidnapper could receive their money as part of a plan to track them. LE will track the money via plant in a case or other means. Just because they receive the money doesn't necessarily mean they're going to keep it.
