FBI Updates Alert On Search For Chapo Isidro; $5 Million Offered

"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat

On Tuesday morning, a wanted persons alert was published offering the million-dollar reward.

FBI continues to search for Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, alias El Chapo Isidro, leader of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel.

The FBI is still searching for Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, alias El Chapo Isidro, leader of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel, for which they are offering a hefty reward of up to 5 million dollars.

This Tuesday morning on its X account, the FBI published a wanted person's information sheet, where they specify that he is responsible for distributing five kilograms or more of cocaine; 50 grams or more of methamphetamine; one kilogram or more of heroin and one thousand kilograms or more of marijuana for import into the United States.

According to authorities, El Chapo Isidro resides in Mexico and operates primarily in Sinaloa. "He previously held a senior position as the head of the Beltran Leyva transnational criminal organization, but through strong alliances with other cartels, and the use of violence and corruption, he has become the leader of a very violent transnational criminal organization whose members operate in parts of Mexico, Central America, South America and the United States," the wanted file reads.

Who is Chapo Isidro?

Isidro Meza Flores, alias "El Chapo Isidro," was born on June 9, 1982, in Guasave and years later rose to a position that placed him, according to the US Treasury Department, as the most dangerous rival to Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.

According to reports from the US DEA and the Assistant Attorney General's Office Specialized in Investigations against Organized Crime (SEIDO), Isidro began his criminal career when he was still a minor, with men dedicated to car theft, auto parts and robbery.

According to the FBI, "he is responsible for the possession and distribution of large quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana, and for importing them into the United States.

The search begins

Since 2017, authorities have been searching for El Chapo Isidro, this after the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia formally indicted him on charges related to the aforementioned criminal association and drug trafficking.

Since 2019, a search warrant was issued but now with more charges granted by the Court, where he is added some for possession of firearms.

  1. Low key guy most of the time. One of the few. Is he the a leader of the beltran leyvas or is he at this point leader of his own cartel? The beltran leyvas are long gone

    7. 7:18 what do you want as proof? A legal document signed by the Isidro and Chapitos presented by a lawyer ? Get real. Theres obviously some sort of deal because they aren’t killing each other and Sinaloa isn’t a warzone.

  3. Wonder why the FBI is looking for him. Yeah I know it said he is wanted for drugs. But the FBI doesn’t handle drug bust. That’s DEAs job. If FBI is after him it’s serious. I mean a lot more serious than just drug charges.

  6. Chapo Isidro is like an under rated sports player. He stays out the headlines but consistently puts up numbers and is respected by his peers in his industry.

    1. I like the analogy, a players player. Voted team captain amongst his peers. Command respect for his play, not his talk. Okay I’m done. Congrats Texas rangers for winning the series.

  10. He’s obviously a very smart narco with a lot of wisdom and experience but you can only be so big for so long before the US starts coming for you. I think he gets so much love because he’s maintained a big presence in Sinaloa all this time even while warring with CDS. I picture him definitely in the shadows and not driving lambos through the city so he should keep evading capture.
