Personnel from Pemex, Civil Protection of Tonalá and the State, found a 32 thousand liter capacity pipe in which unknown subjects were storing fuel that they had extracted from a Pemex clandestine outlet, when they were attending to a hydrocarbon leak this Tuesday morning in the Lomas de San Miguel neighborhood, in the San Miguel de la Punta delegation.
Up to 9:00 a.m., the Tonalá City Hall informed that there was a 60 percent progress in controlling the leak.
Neighbors reported that the event occurred around 5:00 am, at the intersection of San Francisco de Sales and San Leon Magno streets.
The elements of the National Guard were doing their tour when they saw the pipe and saw that two vehicles left at full speed, leaving the leak in a Pemex pipeline after having clandestinely extracted the fuel.
Some neighbors evacuated on their own, while the authorities cordoned off the area to avoid any risk situation.
Shortly thereafter, the municipal, state and Pemex Civil Protection forces arrived to contain the spill and eliminate risks.
Unofficially it was reported that shortly after a subject was arrested.
