Cornelio A., alias "El Negro" or "El Sierra 3", who is accused of the disappearance, torture and death of three municipal police officers from Santa Maria del Oro, was arrested in Culiacan. He was arrested by court order after he was caught by state police speeding on the streets of La Lima neighborhood.

The officers stopped him during their prevention patrol, since he was in a vehicle with tinted windows and checking the speed limit, they even signaled him to stop, but he accelerated. Later he was stopped and upon verifying his name, the arrest warrant was detected.

On Wednesday afternoon, the State Prosecutor's Office informed on Thursday morning that hours before he had been transferred to Jalisco with the support of the National Guard, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Attorney General's Office and authorities of the Guadalajara International Airport.

Cornelio A., alias "El Negro" and/or "El Sierra 3", will face justice for his probable participation in the crimes of aggravated forced disappearance, aggravated homicide and torture.

He is an alleged member of the Pájaros Sierra criminal group that disputes control of the area with the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation. On July 7, 2022, a vehicle was found in Mazamitla, with the bodies of the elements that days before had been deprived of their freedom.

  4. If that massacre wouldn't of gotten so much attention this group would've still been in good standing with the rest of CJNG.

    1. He was from Sinaloa working for CJNG but like you said betrayed CJNG by killing some fools from another CJNG faction.
Just so you guys know, there are a lot of people from Jalisco working for CDS just like there is a lot of people from Sinaloa working for CJNG, this criminals only care about the money, it does not matter where or who they get it from, they would sell their mom for $1,000 bucks
